What an amazing place for a picnic and a wander. The sense of history is palpable in the whole area. The river is beautiful. Closed as a railway bridge in the 1960s, the viaduct is now a cycle path and footpath. The area is tranquil and calm. Access is down a farm style track across farm fields. It feels like you are heading into nowhere, but bear with it. You will come out into a small car park area from which access to the viaduct is really easy.
