Fairly large park. Doesn't tend to be busy even during nice weather and there are dedicated play areas for kids so the rest of the park is pretty peaceful. The park boasts an excellent Spring flower display March through May, which is wonderful if you are a fan of daffodils! The park is also home to a handful of wild birds, including ducks, a family of swans and a grumpy heron who I have seen most visits through Spring and Summer.

This is a good park right in the heart of North Glasgow. There is lots of open space. There is an 18 hole frisbee golf course. The pond towards the centre has a great deal of birdlife including nesting swans. A good play area is now looking tired with much of the apparatus either vandalised or removed, and litter is a big issue. The old greenhouse is very cool.

I give this a rating of OK because I grew up next to the Park and this was like my back garden up until I was 12. The park has been in decline over the past 30 years or so and although some effort has been made in recent years to spruce it up a bit, Vandalism of the play areas and the continuing decline of the Winter Gardens makes me sad when I remember growing up there. The pitch and put is long gone, there are no more boats in the boating pond and the Tennis courts have been replaced with a Basketball court. The Park also has an AstroTurf Pitch which can be booked. There has been a Disc Golf course erected around the Park which has sparked some renewed interest and my local Scout group the 36th Glasgow has been using the Park as a base for activities due to not being able to obtain a School booking because of the Pandemic. My old Scout Master Ronnie Gray still lives in the big house in the Park and has been an inspiration to hundreds of kids who have grown up in Glasgow, many of us returning with our own kids, he has been a true mentor to so many. He's my Mr. Miagi 😀. The Park is one of those places that will truly be missed if we ever lose it and is taken for granted by so many. Let's us hope that the land is never sold to...

Unfortunately, the Park is not suitable for a walk as it is used by a group of minor and adult motorcyclists who organize races without paying attention to pedestrians, children or animals. This place has become dangerous for walks, especially with dogs. I read a few months ago that somewhere in England, a minor motorcyclist killed a 7-year-old girl. In my opinion, it is the police's fault, because they know what is going on, but they do nothing. Why shouldn't a motorcyclist race on pedestrian sidewalks if no one forbids him? Well, if you don't pay your road tax, the police will be on your back right now, but they are not that interested in keeping...
