A wonderful place to visit. The grounds and wooded walks are delightful, with plenty to see. There's a great outdoor play area for kids with a large connect four set, building blocks to make towers, a play house, a basketball hoop, and more. All free of charge. The shop inside is something else, it is completely charming and laid out like a mini indoor street. Many local artisans sell their wares, you'll be spoilt for choice! It also has a plant nursery and garden which is at its very best in the Spring and Summer. There is also a café with great food with a home-cooked feel, not a deep-fryer in sight, utilising local produce where possible. Very reasonably priced as well, and the staff are wonderfully cheerful and helpful. More than all of this, the Boyndie Trust provides job coaching and development for adults with special needs, with the Visitor Centre providing job and volunteering opportunities, overseen by training leaders. It is a true gem of a location, with something for everybody.

We saw a board for this at nearby harbour and as weather was a bit doubtful decided to go visit. Entry into a small museum on RAF which was fascinating. The building is split into small sections selling various items from books to flowers to bags and clothing. Ideal place to pick up a gift if on holiday! Or to treat yourself!! Had lunch in cafe and we were served by Nathan who was friendly and got our order spot on. Definitely worth a visit if in area. It seems very popular too which is lovely to see.

Found this place by accident! There are nature walks, a longer walk by the airfield and then the chance to see the new wind turbines up close! There is a cafe and shop, garden centre and some history about the old airforce base and it's role in WWII Had a drink and their soup which was Cullen skink soup, fro. The nearby town of cullen! Exceptionally good. The place is a little strange, but definitely worthy of visit!

A great place to visit of you have an interest in the history of the RAF and especially the Mosquito. The museum is small being part of a shop and cafe. As a side note the cafe is very nice and not pricey. There are some amazing tales and recollections printed on the walls in the museum and a history of the airbase. The airfield although disused is still there along with several of the old buildings, obviously in states of ruin, you can take get a feeling of the old place and imagine the roar of the Merlin's as the Mosquito's powered along the runway for take off. The only roar you will hear now is the the 9 wind turbines on the site but I kind of liked hearing that too. A great visit was had, not long in the museum but you can spend hours walking the...

I am never one for writing reviews but I felt this needed to be said.

The food was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing. The gift shops have an aesthetically pleasing layout and such beautiful items. The flowers and plants looked healthy and beautiful. The amount of love and care that goes into this place is incredible and it shows when you arrive.

Our server Russell was so sweet and kind! Definitely recommend the cafe especially if he’s working! It was refreshing to meet such a polite young man. We spoke about Marvel and how we both thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man 3. Definitely the highlight of my day.

I even gave him my raybans so he could look like Tony Stark.

Russell is Boyndie Visitor Centres very...
