Sadly we were in Melrose a week too early for the new museum so stopped instead at the site of the fort. It's not well signposted from the town but we found it via a map. Whilst nothing visible remains, good information boards could have allowed you to imagine or visualise what had been. There were a few such boards but many a bit worn out and neglected. On a good day you can see the out line of the rds and buildings ..... Beautiful walk on country lanes and a very impressive viaduct that's unbelievable the size of it .... definitely do...

Its gone now and just fields and the remains of a grass amphitheatre. Lots of information boards around and a stone with a bit of info on it. If you're passing it is worth a look...
