My wife & I stayed in Ochil 9 on the 12th April to 14th April. On arrival, everything appeared to be great. However, on the night time, we went to use the hot tub & discovered what appeared to be gravel still inside, making it unusable. We didn't contact anyone, as we noticed in the book, it wasn't classed as an emergency & there would be a £20 call out charge. In the morning, a staff member came to clean the hot tub & mentioned to him about this. We were told that they have a vacuum for this & would get rid of it for us. Considering the hot tubs are supposed to be cleaned prior to arrival, this was totally unacceptable. On the Saturday night, the bed was really uncomfortable. We thought for being only 2 nights, we'd just put up with it. However, on the Sunday night, the springs on the mattress were that hard & protruding through, I ended up grazing my arm! We complained on departure & was told they would contact the manager, would check the mattress & for us to email about the complaint. Emailed two different addresses & nobody has contacted us. This is the third time we have stayed at Yellowscott & have always found it to be a fantastic place to stay. However, this time, we were extremely disappointed, especially for how much we paid & were unable to use the hot tub on the first night & how uncomfortable the bed was. We won't be back!

Stayed here recently. I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. First night, went for a dip in the hottub. Within a few minutes of turning on the jets the clarity of the water completely changed. As seen in pictures is was completely disgusting. Phoned reception and a girl attended. It took hours to drain and refil. I asked to see the filter and was horrified. I had to ask to have this filter changed which is pretty appalling, she just wanted to hose it down. Management enlightened me that filters are reused and I don't think this had been changed for some time. Legionnaires is a very serious ilness and clearly not a priority here. The girl was shocked when I asked for a dip test to be carried out on the refilled tub. It ruined a full night in the tub and the next day when we went to use it, pretty much the same issue as the tub wasn't cleaned, just emptied 85% and refilled. Waste of money and a real disappointment. I would not recommend this unless your willing to risk your health.

My Partner and I had a lovely break away at the Yellowscot Lodges. We stayed in Ochil 8. On arrival we where amazed by the size of the lodge, it is very spacious for two people. It had everything we needed for the few days we spent there. There were a few minor maintenance issues but nothing major that caused great concern, with a little bit of TLC and a few things updated or replaced, the place would be of a high standard. Hot tub was lovely an warm, nice for relaxing with a cheeky cocktail! We were unlucky with the weather on our break so probably didn't get the use we wanted from the hot tub, but we made the most of it as best we could. I would definitely recommend for a small weekend break away for couples and group of friends. Very close to amenities with shops only a 5 minute drive.. larger attractions within 10/15 minutes drive. My partner and I will definitely book again for another break away in the future.

Have to say, we are staying here at the moment and the pictures on Facebook and website make this lodge look amazingly bright, clean and spotless....reality is so much different, the dining table, small table and chairs in my opinion need to be replaced the lodge is dull, dark and not the cleanest, we found crisps u der the sofa, sellotape and blue tac on the walls, the kitchen knives had to be scrubbed and some had rust spots ...we have been so disappointed this visit as we usually are in Benarty 11 which to be fair is so much better, the decking area near hot tub was full of weeds, unkempt and the hot tub when used was full of scum and not the cleanest, could have been doing with a full clean, it state's in your handbook that this might be the case due to soap, hair products, body oils and fake tan mmmmm this was the case before we even entered the tub so not of our doing ...as in Benarty the decking areas are in need of full revamp, sanded down and stained this is what you would expect as being the obvious prerequisite gor luxury lodges...I could go on and on but for the sake of the young man we were supporting we decided to stay put, it would have caused a lot of problems had we complained and asked for possible refund, but it just would not have been possible to relocate elsewhere as it was months in the planning....the furniture is tired and in our opinion the most uncomfortable sofa's.. no window blinds in living area, see attached pic for the broken blinds on the entry door....last night we tried to make use of the washing machine but after trying for ages and reading the instructions it appeared that no water was getting through so we kinda gave up...also in the bedroom with mirror wardrobes was an old mattress 😳 why oh why.....seemed to us like a lodge full of stuff and hand me downs from other lodges that may have been upgraded....|On the positve side, its an Absolutely lovely area to stay in and the views are gorgeous, plenty nearby to visit, so peaceful and relaxing, the beds are comfy and bedroom furnishings are of high standard with plenty of storage...|Please take the criticism as a guide to what needs done to make this a luxury lodge, defo in need of a huge bit of TLC....the reality of what is advertised on Facebook of Torridon 1 is so far apart from what the reality actually is...|We have loved our two previous stays here but this time the accommodation, cleanliness and all round lack of attention to detail has left us thinking of looking elsewhere in the future, this is a shame because there is so much to do in a lovely part of our...

Had a two night stay in pod 3. First impressions were very good. The pod was very cosy and clean, lights were on within upon our arrival.||The pod is very spacious and has a small fridge freezer and microwave that you can use as an oven. Crockery and cutlery provided along with washing up liquid and sponges etc to do the dishes.||Bed is a good size and was very comfortable.||Hot tub was nice and clean and was set at 38.5 degrees which was lovely to get into especially with the cold days/nights. Only one downfall was the decking was very slippy when getting out the tub.||Onto a couple of negatives, the first being that it was obvious that the flooring had been water damaged, I am guessing from the shower room as there is a large amount of silicone on the floor as you go into the bathroom to send the water down the drain. This leaves a damp smell in the pod but it is not overly obvious.||The biggest problem we encountered was on the first night as we were lying in bed we heard the rustling of a bag kind of noise. Upon closer inspection we put it down to the wind coming in from the drain making the shower curtain move. This however continued for most of the night making our dog very unsettled resulting in us getting very little sleep. The next day we went out and came back, after going into the cupboard where we had put our snacks it became clear the 3 of us (which included the dog) were not the only ones enjoying the stay in the pod, as a couple of our snacks had been ripped open and half consumed. Later that evening I opened said cupboard after hearing a noise to see the longest tail ever disappear down the hole where the pipes go. Going by the tail I would say it was a rat!||After seeing this I quickly blocked up the whole thinking that would stop it coming back but again however during the night we could still hear it moving around again making the dog unsettled and giving us very little sleep yet again!.||What was meant to be a nice relaxing couple of days away resulted in us being more exhausted due to lack of sleep.||Can't fault the pod but would have been much nicer if it had only been the 3 of us with no creepy visitors.||Don't think that this is the first time visitors have been either as there was a plug in pest repeller but that clearly...

Great place for a get-together with family or friends. Especially as the sunshine 🌞 made an appearance. It was glorious sunshine both days we were there which was fabulous for putting the outside garden and patio areas to good use. Then into the hot tubs when it got a bit cooler later in the evening. Great set up and plenty of areas and furniture outside to sit at, sunbathe, eat, dance and play games etc. We stayed at the large house and also had one of the lodges for extra space for our party.

Both of which were clean, well-kept and had everything you would need for a stay away from home. All pots, pans, cooking trays, utensils, crockery, cutlery and a few different glasses. The toaster could have been bigger/better, as making breakfast in the morning for everyone with a small 2-slice toaster was challenging. There was an Ironing board, hoover, clothes airer, all cleaning items,a cloth, dish towel and a couple of dishwasher pods. The large house, Ibtie, had 2 hot tubs, which were popular with all, the house had a pool table, a jukebox, Hi-fi, TV, board games, and a projector room to watch movies etc which you could stream from a mobile device, for more entertainment. Unfortunately, none of our party could get the jukebox to work either by Bluetooth or the CDs (which were antiques, lol) but this didn't stop us from enjoying some music. 3 toilet/ shower rooms which were all clean, tidy and spacious. Rooms were tidy and clean and the beds were comfortable. Was a bit hot, stuffy in the rooms upstairs with the weather being so nice even with the Velux windows open, but a few minutes standing on the balcony cooled you down, which was an ideal place to look at the clear night sky, with all the stars and the moon shining, so nice and peaceful. All in all, we had a great time and will defo return here...
