The ruined shell of the old lighthouse is far less interesting than the amazing view! But it provides some welcome shelter if it's windy. Come down towards it from Selworthy Beacon, or up from Bossington. The path to it is very pretty and the views spectacular, but if you go round the corner of the old lighthouse the path continues as a narrow track along the side of the steep slope. Lots of scree visible, and one path winds back up towards the Beacon again, while you could continue down to the black, bouldery beach far below. Either way it's a real climb, so it's fine for the fit!!! Beware if it's windy, very exposed! Can be muddy and slidy if wet, so care...

We came here for a 2 day trip it is at Minehead. There were many friendly wonderful villages (many sights to be seen) at Minehead and there are 2 main landmarks in Minehead one of them being the Hurlstone Point, in a village called Porlock. It was an adventurous trek and took about half an hour to get to the top. It was worth it when we saw the amazing view of Porlock Beach . One think I would say is to take caution when trekking because the paths is narrow and you could...

This was a really lovely walk through woods. From the National Trust car park we took the path to the right to do the hard bit first - we would recommend doing it that way round. Lovely views throughout; love the bit through the woods with the gorgeous trees and the first glimpses of the coast provided excellent views of the countryside. The point itself is pretty but the views along the trail are...

Good views. Peaceful walk with access to the shore on the way. This was an incidental find but a welcome walk on a sunny day. You need trainers or boots as it is stony under foot. No facilities up at the point but there's a nice cafe opposite the car park. Various walks are possible.
