I stayed here with my nan recently, we went for days out independently as opposed to joining walking groups. Despite not joining them, we were made to feel part of the team and joined in with the evening entertainment and sat socially at dinner. I wasn't sure about this at first however I soon got to know each individual and we spent the week telling each other about our days out. The accomodation was small and cosy, great shower and comfy beds. All the staff were highly accomodating and friendly making effort to ensure everyone has a great time despite the usual issues of being short staffed, you wouldn't have noticed. The food was delicious, of wedding qaulity and the kitchen staff were punctual so no one is left waiting. Horner has a great woodland walk, good for dogs, the Tea Garden there is privately run, their coffee is packets you add water to ugh! Food average.
