just only for the area where these gardens are located, they would deserve 5 stars. However I wasn't so impressed by the gardens...I found them a bit dry. But I'm aware that I missed the best moment when most of the plants have flowers so I'm sure it can have much bigger potential if you get there at the right time of the season. Most of the plants are very big and even when you walk into the greenhouses you have to pass through branches and bushes which can be exciting for the kids...There's a lot to see and it's not always so easy to understand which plant you are looking at by the descriptions since so close. The garden is incredibly well maintained by its owner and curator Tom Hart Dyke who had exceptional brought together so many contrasting varieties into one location. Although we did not get too see him on the day, Tom himself normally attends the garden daily and, from previous interactions, is an enthusiastic and friendly source of information. His ability to landscape and arrange such a dense amount of botanical material in one location is honestly astounding. The garden itself could be a stand alone attraction without Lullingstone House or the Roman Villa near by, simply from its...
