just only for the area where these gardens are located, they would deserve 5 stars. However I wasn't so impressed by the gardens...I found them a bit dry. But I'm aware that I missed the best moment when most of the plants have flowers so I'm sure it can have much bigger potential if you get there at the right time of the season. Most of the plants are very big and even when you walk into the greenhouses you have to pass through branches and bushes which can be exciting for the kids...There's a lot to see and it's not always so easy to understand which plant you are looking at by the descriptions since so close. It's so big and there's so much to see and read that I was a bit overwhelmed. But it's a nice experience especially in a nice sunny day. I think I'll visit again in the future hopefully to catch more flowers...

If we could have rated it higher we would have. What a fabulous garden and warm staff, plus great home made cake and lovely filter coffee. Every step you took was another amazing plant. I especially liked the eucalyptus trees and the gigantic pokeweed. Great information leaflets and plant labels. For us the only improvements would be: Offered garden tours. We'd much prefer in-depth tours of the garden, than the house. If the plants for sale could be near the exit, I think you'd get more sales. Number the plants and have corresponding numbered plants for sale in the shop. So we know when we see a plant we like, which one it is in the shop. 4.Shame you didn't have any eucalyptus for sale, as I wanted to buy at...

Absolutely stunning assortment of beautiful plants from across the globe. The garden is incredibly well maintained by its owner and curator Tom Hart Dyke who had exceptional brought together so many contrasting varieties into one location. Although we did not get too see him on the day, Tom himself normally attends the garden daily and, from previous interactions, is an enthusiastic and friendly source of information. His ability to landscape and arrange such a dense amount of botanical material in one location is honestly astounding. The garden itself could be a stand alone attraction without Lullingstone House or the Roman Villa near by, simply from its...

Visited the "cactus at the castle" event at Lullingstone castle. Lots of cacti & succulents for sale at very good prices. As part of the event Tom Hart Dyke gave a tour of the world garden which had some magnificent species from all over the world. There are also several polytunnels containing many cacti, succulents, orchids & exotic plants from around the world. We had a fantastic day and will be back next year!!

Amazing place, especially for nature lovers and plant lovers.. The drive to this place itself is a beauty.. The cactus garden is just awesome. You can also have a walk around the huge green area opposite the entrance. Within the garden too , there are benches n places to relax n enjoy amidst nature with a cup of hot coffee n yummy cakes from the food tent.. Must visit..

With the grounds pleasant and well kept, there is around 2 acres of beautiful countryside to explore. The building tours were unavailable at time of visit due to the pandemic, but there is plenty to see. From the eclectic collection of plants in the world garden, to the gorgeous lake to enjoy some shade. A great find
