A very popular wood, glen and moor with well marked paths for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders alike. The top car-park (off RedmiresRoad) with nearby wooden benches, stepping stones and an open glade, gives the perfect spot for a picnic. Read moreShame that the small car park was closed but we parked further up at the roadside and it worked well. The waterfall walk was exciting as we had to climb on rocks or walk along narrow path, at times it was a bit muddy too. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the dogs did too. Can definitely recommend. Take your time to meander, like the river, downwards. You can continue this walk to pass reservoirs or make it shorter by following a path back once you reach the bottom.
