Hoo Hill Maze — Attraction in Shefford

The place itself is beautiful and a great location to spend some time but the host needs to improve how he treats his guests.

I had booked via a groupon voucher. Immediately as I walked towards John he asked “Groupon?”. When I responded in the affirmative he the shook his head vigorously in a rather negative fashion. I was then given a blurb on how groupon isn’t financially beneficial for him and they take all his profits. Frankly, his deal with groupon is not my business and it was even more awkward as all this conversation took place in front of another guest.

He did however admit groupon is good for advertising, so make your mind up if you want to use them or not; don’t vent your frustrations on the guests. The whole experience left a bitter taste in the mouth. I did tell some friends and colleagues about the place before I visited and a couple of them visited on Sunday so it shows that groupon is a good way to spread the word.

We have visited Hoo Hill Maze for the first time today and it was so lovely! I still can’t believe how incredible the maze is, I haven’t been to a proper maze like that in a really long time. Can’t believe this was on our doorstep! Parking on site, super friendly and welcoming owners, mixture of toys for the younger ones, picnic areas, homely vibe. Took the family to the maze Easter Sunday and wow! What a lovely place to go. The maze was awesome and the grandchildren loved it so much they didn’t want to go home. We had a glorious time and so well planned with other areas to explore outside of the maze. Loads of areas to picnic and play. Owner was welcoming and awesome. We will definitely be going back.
