We had a brilliant time at The Great Ryedale Maze. Easy to find and the car park was well laid out and fantastically compact considering its a field. The staff we welcoming and even took us on a little tour so we could find everything. The food was reasonably priced and had lots of choices, but there were also many picnic benches incase you wanted to b.y.o. The toilets were portaloos but kept very clean and we saw staff checking and maintaining whilst we were there. We walked around the smaller maze searching for dragons, and it was perfectly sized for our little one, but there were bigger children enjoying it too, and everyone we saw coming out of the bigger mazes seemed to be laughing and smiling. The Punch and Judy show was done very well with the children really enjoying the participation and Professor Dan was lovely with them. The vintage fairground gave you waves of nostalgia for each ride and were so enjoyable. Each ride is one token and each token is £3 but you are given tokens on arrival as part of the ticket, and if you then spend more buying tokens, you soon realise you've spent more on a bad takeaway in the past and £3 is very much worth the smiles, laughs and memories. We will definitely be back next year and thoroughly encourage...

Please don’t waste your time or money visiting this place, the whole thing from fun fair to the show was a terrible disappointment.

Over priced con, you’re given 2 free tokens upon arrival which can be used on RIDES only. They have very little choice for young toddlers. All the rides are extremely dated and the fun fair is about 1/10 of the size of the car park.

The show featuring professor Dan was extremely awkward due to the lack of humour, the tent in which this takes place has minimal seating meaning if you don’t secure a seat you are left to sit on the “sand” which is actually just dirt.

We where left disappointed and attempted to get a refund as the place was not age appropriate and we had not got anywhere close to value for money, we was told refunds are not available and to contact an email address.

After emailing we was met with a very unprofessional and almost rude response, with no possibility of a refund.

Going back to the tokens they offer, once you have used your free tokens you then have to purchase more at £3!! per token, the free token is not applicable for the stalls such as hook a duck. Numerous parents could be heard complaining about the amount they have had to spend.

Can not stress how bad this place is...

I wasn't sure what to expect. We managed to catch a quiet day so plenty of benches to sit on and a takeaway van to order burgers, chips hot drinks etc.. The kids were happy with my choice of venue and enjoyed the fairground rides. On entry you get 2 tokens per paid entry and under 3's go free (however they dont get tokens). The tokens are used to ho on the rides at 1 per ride. To purchase more tokens they charge £3 which I felt was a little steep given some of the rides last only a few minutes. The dodgems are definitely worth going on along with the swings. The maze was fun and the kids enjoyed running around the field burning off energy. It was challenging enough to get lost a few times but easy enough to complete. The toilets are portaloos in the field and were clean when we used them. I'm not sure there was disabled facilities and baby changing either. Lots of hand sanitiser stations. Enjoyable 3 hours spent with the family and maybe visit again in a few years if we are...

The mazes were great fun for children, spotting the scarecrows and following the clues/numbers kept them engaged and this was the most enjoyable part for our under 5s. There was only 1 ride we were able to go on due to height restrictions so this was a little disappointing and we had to pay extra for the hook a duck games. Spent about 3 hours at the maze, this included eating packed lunches - always a plus with young children when you can take your own food. We were able to eat this in the large under cover tent with a Punch and Judy show while we ate. Kept the children entertained while the adults grabbed a hot drink from the take-out snack cart.
