We held our wedding at Wandlebury in September this year; what a gorgeous place to get married! As a venue, it is lovely, with lots of gorgeous photo opportunities, and plenty of space for everyone. We had hired the Paddock, which also gave us use of the Stable Rooms, and then we hired in a tipi, toilets and a generator to make sure the day ran smoothly.

The weekend booking meant that we had plenty of time to set up the day before and take everything down the day after, which made the whole thing much more relaxed!

This venue is perfect if you are looking to have a DIY wedding and gives you ample opportunity to make your day exactly how you want it to be.

The only drawbacks are that the site does not allow live fire, and given the nature of the site, you need to pay extra to hire in toilets and...

It's a serene country park with a lot of trails for enjoying pleasant long walks. One can also spot Highland Cows - native to Scottish Highlands, grazing on green pastures in the reserve. They have a pop-up café on Saturdays and Sundays. It's a great park to enjoy a picnic. Plenty of picnic tables are placed around the park. BBQ is not allowed in the park without permission. If you wish to do it, you will have to book in advance. The pathway which leads to the Roman road is extraordinary. It looks a lot like the dark hedges. They have a Cherry pond where you can spot the grass snakes and water scorpions. You can book the stables for a special occasion. Parking costs £3. It is owned and maintained by local charity Cambridge Past,...

I recently visited this Forest Park and was amazed by the beauty of the area. From the vast meadows to the majestic trees, Forest Park has something for everyone. The park's trails take you through a variety of different environments, from prairies to forests and even wetlands. The trails are also fairly well-maintained, making them easy to navigate. The park also has plenty of picnic areas and playgrounds, making it a great place to spend the day with family or friends. Another great thing about Forest Park is the variety of wildlife that can be seen. I saw several species of birds, deer, and other animals while exploring the park. All in all, Forest Park is an amazing place to explore and enjoy nature. Highly...

🐾 Our favourite puppy walk in Cambridgeshire (so far!) 🤩 We started at Wandlebury Country Park, climbed the Gog Magog Hills (yes, hills in Cambs! Small but great for pups 🙌), and even found a surprise enclosed dog field where Bonnie had an absolute zoomie moment. This one’s a 3.8mile loop, with a little diversion off to little trees point, mostly flat with a few gentle hills = perfect for puppies or anyone looking for an easy weekend adventure. ✨ Puppy-friendly, quiet, and actually scenic. Would highly recommend! 📍 Wandlebury + Gog Magog Hills 📏 ~3.8 miles 🦴 Enclosed dog field 2/3 way round 🅿️ Parking available at Wandlebury country park (CB22 3AE) £4.39 for the day on weekends. 🐶 Bonnie rating: 10/10 ✔️ Pros: • Beautiful views and peaceful trails • Off-lead friendly with a mix of woods and open space • Great for pups like Bonnie! 🐶 ❗ Con: • AllTrails circular route includes a short stretch along a fast road • We adapted it to just cross the road twice — much safer for little paws! See the route below. 📍Afternoon hike at Magog Down and Wandlebury Circular on AllTrails https://api-v5.alltrails.com/explore/recording/afternoon-hike-at-magog-down-and-wandlebury-circular-5ecf33f?p=-1&sh=vfnsdy&utm_medium=map_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality #DogFriendlyWalks #CambridgeshireWalks #Wandlebury #GogMagogHills #BonnieApproved #UKDogWalks #PuppyAdventures #NatureWithDogs #ExploreUKWithDogs #DogReelsDaily #FlatButFun #WalksForPuppies #weekendwalks
