Booked this field to train my gsd dog with recall. You have to drive through a horse training centre which isn't advertised on the website, so the field isn't suitable for dogs that are reactive towards horses or other animals.
The field wasn't clean and covered in dog poo, there is a dog poo bin provided and I could see a dog poo bag dispenser but this was not filled up.
The way out signs also could have been clearer as its a one way system and we didn't know this until we went the wrong way back through the horse training. I think putting signs inside the secure field would help as I saw the previous field user do...
Read moreThis a great field and use it at least once a month. Couple of things I always check though, firstly is whether there is any horse competition on as you need to drive past the competition arena and the car park borders the field which means my excited Beagle spends the whole hour whining and wanting to play with the horses or other dogs who may have been brought along. The second thing is I have a thorough 20 minute walk up and down the field to check for mushrooms and pick them as there are quite a few in various places and don't want a trip to the vet as my dog will eat...
Read moreDecent sized enclosed field with added bonus of a picnic table and a few pieces of agility equipment, tyres, etc. Great that poo bags are provided (had my own, but still good to know) and that the bin is inside the paddock. Was clean and grass cut short and thankfully not too muddy despite recent wet weather. Dogs had great fun chasing each other around and having lots of sniffs.
