A gem of a nature reserve with wonderful views across the Thames Valley at the Goring Gap. Primarily open chalk downland, the reserve is surrounded by ancient Yew & deciduous woodland and thick hedges. The reserve is home to a very wide range of rare animals and plants.

Very very very steep path to the view point but worth the effort. We followed the path after the view point into the woods but I’d recommend going back to the rlverside as the inland paths take too long and there are not enough signs.

Quite steep slopes, you'll need proper walking footwear. Great views down the river valley. Good lot of flowers in late July, but even better in June when the orchids are out.

Absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the countryside with all it has to offer including sheep, deer, various birds this place is idyllic.

As far as we could tell its not possible to drive right up to it but it's only a short walk on one of the bridleways. We parked nearby yet once there we couldn't hear any traffic or outside world noises! Not even trains from the not too distant train tracks.

It's quite hilly in places so basic fitness is needed if you are going to walk around the entire reserve but it is well worth it with spectacular views that include the River Thames and surrounding...

Pleasant views but not easy to get to very steep climb for great views not suitable for wheelchairs or people with asthma or heart conditions due to terrain no facilities or other access so you will have to come out the same way you went in pretty much either side of the orchard worth it for the...
