Nice free car park, found via sat nav. We walked as far as Helland Bridge before turning back. Distance 5.5 miles, easy walking, met 5 horses being ridden, well controlled. A few cyclists, mostly using their bells. Met, walked and chatted with a couple from Essex who had found a circular walk via All Trails App. Enjoyed a quiet packed lunch, on return, at a picnic table 150mts from the car park, beside a bend in the river. Read moreThe small car park adjacent to the Wenford Dries holds approximately 8/10 cars. The Camel Trail leads north to Wenford Bridge, where you can find "Snail's Pace" cafe (opens around Easter). South leads towards Helland Bridge, Bodmin, and further on towards Wadebridge and the terminus at Padstow. A short walk south of the car park finds a small meadow alongside the river.
