Just discovered a pawfect pairing near Liskeard: a woodland stroll through Golitha Falls, then mouth-watering BBQ at Inkie’s Smokehouse—dog-friendly magic! 🌲 Golitha Falls: ancient oak woodland, riverside paths, shallow paddling spots, and small waterfalls—ideal for both dogs and families Inkie’s Smokehouse: rustic BBQ hut serving low‑n‑slow smoked meats, huge portions, pancakes & milkshakes—and your pup gets a water bowl while you enjoy This place, also coupled with Siblyback, is a proper dog‑friendly day out for holidaymakers and locals alike—just follow the paw prints! 🐾 Don’t forget your stretchy trousers 😂 #DogFriendlyCornwall #PawPrintPlaces #GolithaFallsWalk #InkriesBBQ #SouthWestDogDays

This is a beautiful location, parking is free and the walks in the woods are spectacular, although good footwear is recommended. In autumn is just lovely the paths are good for most ages and young families will love this location. The waterfalls are impressive, they aren't massive but so picturesque 👍 the paths are very well maintained and all can soak up the fresh air and space for dogs and children to run. Walks can be more challenging if you want them to be, but for little ones the lower pathways aren't a problem. There are loos on site and if after the walk you fancy a bite to eat then there's a fantastic bar/food restaurant right by the carpark. The food is fantastic and plenty of it too. A great day out but just be aware parking is limited for such a beautiful spot. Out of season it's not a problem but I imagine the summer months, it might be difficult getting parked there. Enjoy your walk with dogs and children 😁

Google maps took us to someone's cottage and it turned out the correct location was approx half a mile away but we got directions and found it. Really stunning little valley in the woods with a brisk flowing river. Plenty of good spots for our dog to jump in and have a swim around. Some sections with white water and some small falls etc. Pathways through the woods were very flat and easy to begin with but the ground became very uneven and loads of tree roots etc, the further in you go. Totally fine for the fit and able but impassable for anyone with any kind of injury or disability. There is a car park with a smokehouse BBQ place serving food and drink (closes at 4pm and we arrived at 5pm so can't comment on what they offer). We loved this place and will definitely be returning for more adventures with our dog... he really really loved it!! 😁🐕‍🦺

We had a lovely visit to Goliatha Falls this week. It’s a perfect spot for walkers, strollers, doggos.. lots of sun and shade and woodland with a very fast river running through which tumbles down producing small, pretty waterfalls.. some of the terrain is tricky but these parts can be avoided if you’re not so steady on your feet. There are lots of tree roots and rock and some steep sections but the paths are clear and easy to navigate. It’s a very pretty spot with lots of different aspects to enjoy.. kids would need to be kept an eye on as the river is dangerous and no good for wild swimming.. there’s a lot of tempting rocks to navigate too! Bring walking boots if you have them to enjoy the terrain safely. There is a free carpark that’s right at the start of the walk but it does get busy so plan to arrive earlier at peak holiday season. It was a busy place when we visited being a sunny day in holiday season but don’t let that put you off.. there’s plenty of room for everyone! Highlight for most visitors is the impressive eatery, Inkies, in the carpark which is a steakhouse but still something for us veggies to enjoy! They don’t have a booking system so again, plan to arrive a little earlier than the masses. Huge portion sizes and very reasonable.. definitely worth a visit after you’ve built up an appetite exploring! It’s also a spot that less agile members of the family can enjoy if they don’t fancy joining...
