Groups of fully grown adults, mixed with groups with young children, should not be sharing the inflatable aqua park in the same session, totally unsafe. It was like throwing your kids onto the pitch during an adult rugby match. We were a group of five adults with five children aged between 6 and 11 for a birthday party. 2 of the lifeguards were speaking so loudly amongst themselves during the safety brief that the quietly spoken instructor could not be heard. During the session there was a small group of younger adults who had no regard for anyone else using the water park. Charging around and launching themselves over the top of quite terrified 6 year olds trying to balance and stay upright themselves. The lifeguards were a little unfortunate on this day as this group were particularly unaware of themselves and were frankly, a sandwich short of a picnic. The issue I have is by the time the lifeguards noticed and did something about it, this group had already shoved me in while assisting my kids around the course and then repeated the action. The lifeguards had to watch them like hawks from then on and it just made it a poor experience, with significant risk of injury.
I explained this the following day and a refund was agreed, however this took 5 weeks to action, multiple emails and calls had to be made to follow up to get the refund.
If the changing rooms had some privacy for males and females alike and if a family session was available for U12s for example, this would improve the offering. Adult groups need to be separate to young children or controlled in a far...
Read moreWe did the water obstacle course as a large family group. It was good fun and everyone enjoyed it. However there were a few downsides: The number of people they let book onto the course at our time was too many in my opinion. I think the maximum booking number they allow is around 32 but the course isn’t that big and quite often you are queuing to go across things, and because it’s so slippery you end up knocking others over ahead of you as you can’t stop. The wetsuit cost isn’t included in the price- it’s an extra £2. I checked on the website the day before and this wasn’t communicated at all so this was a shock for a group of 14. Also they have removed some of the items, such as the large slides, the trampoline, and the pillow thing that you jump on to fling others off- this made it feel very tame. It’s not as advertised on their website. The water felt quite dirty and had a yellow hue you it. Some of the items were also quite dirty and weren’t inflated property. The showers are pretty worn down- they were warm at least- but only about half of them work so there was a queue. And there were bubbles of water under the vinyl flooring. Our group have done this for the last 3 years in a row, however after this year we’ve decided to try Adrenaline Quarry next year...
Read moreDid both the FloRider and the Inflatable obstacle course in one day. Booked fairly late and with 6 people, booking staff were excellent in fitting us in. Flo rider reception staff were very friendly. (One called Hayden). The instructor (Aiden) was absolutely outstanding. Gave clear instructions with a friendly smile throughout and encouraged everyone to get the absolute most out of the session. He was a complete natural with the kids, who all loved the experience. The florider is great fun and Aiden took the whole experience to the next level of enjoyment. We were all laughing the entire session. Well worth the £25 fee. The inflatable course is an absolute bargain at £15. An hour of fun physical activity whilst laughing constantly. There are 3 lifeguards watching over you but they allowed us all to mess around and have fun whilst keeping everyone safe. All in all, an incredible day out that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Will...
