Loved it we went here on the way home so arrived about 13:30. Just in time for the bird show and it was amazing such lovely owls and a interesting talk to go with it and the second show we saw just the same and showed the owls doing natural behaviour, they also allow you to hold the owl for a short amount of time to ensure the owl doesn't just imprint on one person, but they are not forced to and they are able to read their birds well to know when they have reached their limit. All the owls we saw looked relaxed and well cared for and there is information about them. The meerkat looked very happy foraging away, I didn't see the racoon he was sleeping but the enclosure looked a lot of fun. We had a cream tea and a savoury scone and oh my goodness the chocolate cake was amazing my son ate it so fast I didn't get a picture but it was amazing. Playpark kept him occupied and we saw the emus. And walked through the goats we didnget any feed but the family infront were feeding them and the goats were very happy to come up and have a feed. Storks, I had no idea they haven't been in Cornwall for 600 so they are part of a programme to reintroduce them. We will come back next year. Just remember the birds are not their for entertainment so if you can't see one let it be because you don't want to be...

A truly fabulous little place to visit! Stopped in over the Easter half term whilst on holiday in Newquay and we were not disappointed!

The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the talks are informative and really showcase all of the animals personalities! I didn’t catch the name of the lady doing the majority of the talks but we followed her round the park to hear about the Raccoons, Lemurs and the Pole Cats and she was absolutely brilliant! She kept both children and adults engaged the entire talk (all whilst navigating some rather cheeky animals, especially a Lemur who kept tapping her on the shoulder to be fed!).

We had the pleasure of watching both flying displays and the owl talk. These were the best I’ve ever seen at any bird sanctuary! You get so close to the birds (Logan’s wings clipped everyone on the head as he flapped by and they literally plonk down on the hay beside you!) and they even allow volunteers to hold the birds (all the children in our group had a turn). An unforgettable experience for our entire group! At each display and talk they showcase different birds so each one is completely different. Each display is 45 minutes and you really don’t want them to end!

Had lunch in the Cafe, food was tasty and fairly priced.

Would happily visit again when we return for our...

Super little haven for owls, facilities good, staff and handlers all excellent and very informative, not a big place but always worth a visit, 3 flying displays a day always with different owls and very interactive. Back again one year later, displays down to 2 a day now, the raccoon experience was excellent, well worth the cost and owl handling was sublime. Not expensive, with all costs supporting their own wildlife hospital, endeavouring to return to the wild all that they can. Love this place, they struggled over lockdown so all support is welcome.

Revisited today, Sept 2022, things are changing, the new meerkat enclosure opened yesterday, so one of the first to experience that, much improved habitat, the new fox enclosure is under construction and being financed by a crowd funding page, so far they are at 5k with a target of 20k required. Due to the bird flu restrictions, all flying displays are conducted inside the barn display area, and there are no birds on display outside, which is unfortunate but necessary under the current conditions. The addition of the foxes and rare black and white lemurs, were an added bonus. Always worth a visit, support goes a long way here and...
