Tresilian Bay Beach — Attraction in St. Donats

If you want to feel an atmosphere of history - this is the place for you. There is a lover's cave here and it's said that if the lovers throw pebbles to the water - the number of pebbles thrown before one reaches the water without first hitting rocks - is the number of years before they will marry!! Also a pirate called Pete held Sir Henry Stradling to ransom in the cave - eventually the ransom was paid and Sir H was freed. Years later, he met up with this pirate and got his revenge by burying him up to his neck and letting the incoming tide do its worst......... on a clear moonlit night - ghostly cries can still...

Please don't go there if you are thinking about sand, it's full of rocks, maybe in 20,000 years it should be fine. 😀 There are cliffs on the right that are falling so great great care is needed so nothing lands on your head. 😭So yes it's a beach and it's quiet but do the locals go there to chill NOT really.
