I stopped on the main A470 , then walked up the right side of the stream. There were some steps and steeper sections and rough , narrow paths. The visitor centre was one room with tea and coffee and an honesty box . There was also a toilet .There were some short video clips of the area which were interesting . I walked back along the nirth side of the stream . I nearly missed the trout jumping boardwalk as it is not clearly signed. The path was a lot rougher, rocky, and difficult in places. I think improvements to the path need to be done before it gets dangerous. Also, take a strimer along the path south side of the river as the path is extremely narrowed because of the bracken and brambles. The outside of the visitor centre needs to be cut back so that the old farm machinery can be seen clearly . It all looks a bit forgotten and not cared for. There are also cows with calves , so stay away from them as they can be...

Lovely set of walks for every level of walker (see photos as I’ve there’s a shot of a map with all the walks).

Very scenic routes of wildlife, history, mountains, rivers and we ended our walk on a stunning waterfall.

There is toilets available at the cottage as well as a museum but there is no food or drink on site. Dogs were welcome but on leads only.

As always in wales come weather prepared as even though it started sunny we got drenched by a downpour mid walk. Walking boots recommended.

We easily spent 2-3 hours on the mid level history walk stopping for lunch too.

The main carpark is fairly small, if you can’t park there seems to be another car part around the corner. Disabled parking was...

Radnorshire Wildlife Trust's flagship reserve, we walked a circular route from the Caban Croeso, across the Nant Marteg following the old Mid Wales Railway route initially. There was great variety of ecology as we passed woodland, scrub and pasture to reach Gilfach longhouse. Here we made a cuppa and watched Iolo introducing the reserve. We returned along the north bank of the stream enjoying spectacular gorges and rapids as the stream cut down towards the Wye. We had our daughter's dog with us, on a lead, who enjoyed a great range of sniffing...
