Lovely walk through the woods to get to the Quay. Opposite the small car park (big enough for around 4 to 5 cars), through the large gate there is a well paved path. Follow this all the way to the quay, it around 25 minutes walk. 3/4 of the way to the quay, part way up the hill, there is a small path going to the left. At the bottom of this path is a large grass picnic area with lovely views of the Helford River.

Love love love this place! Special times, wonderful memories, always a friendly walker, sailor or camper to chat with. Forest and shingle beach. Lush swimming off steps at high tide! A peaceful and sublime camping spot, with firepit. Take your rubbish home with you and we're all happy!

Grab yourself a hot Gear Farm pasty on the way to the carpark. By the time you've walked down the track (through the gate opposite the carpark) to the quay it'll be just right to eat.

Lovely flat area that was intended to be a landing stage for Queen Victoria. There are 2 fire pits so no need to burn the grass with a fire. It is 1.9 kilometers from the car park but that means no traffic noise. The pathway from the car park is a simple crushed stone road so easy going. You could get to it in a wheelchair but the hill from the quay is...

Google maps takes you to private enterprise close to Tremayne Quay, but which clearly states as you approach 'no access to TQ or Tremayne Woods'. Look instead for Tremayne Quay car park (space for circa 3/4 cars) and walk from there. We never made it to the Quay, but the woodland walk was lovely, mainly flat and we stopped at a cove before TQ for...
