Stanwick Lake Fisheries — Attraction in Stanwick

Located in Northamptonshire, the Complex consists of 6 mature lakes, including a day ticket specimen carp lake with fish to over 40lb, and a syndicate carp lake. We also have two Syndicate Lakes at Kislingbury, located just off junction 15A of the M1. Our aim is to cater for a variety of anglers, from pleasure to serious matchmen and specimen anglers, whether you want to fish for a few hours or all weekend. The day ticket Specimen Carp Lake is Elsons, and back in the 80's, was run as the Mid Northants Carp Fishery, one of the premier carp waters in the country, and fished by the top Carp Anglers at the time. Now, 20 years on, it has matured into a beautiful lake, surrounded by large trees. The lake is around six acres in size, with depths ranging from 6-9ft. Surrounded by reeds, the lake features several gravel bars, sunken and overhanging trees, and lily pads. There are quite a few large carp in the lake, and at the time of writing, there are at least 7 known fish over 30lb, the biggest being just over 40lb, and many more over 20lb. There are a maximum of 12 anglers allowed on at any one time so booking is advisable. Our "Runs" water, Mallard is now producing some big fish, and is fast becoming another "specimen" lake. We love taking long walks around Stanwick Lakes with our dog. Lots of wildlife to spot and a feeling of getting back in touch with nature with all its raw beauty. Lots of different walks to choose from, pick a path and off you go; plenty of sign posts to follow dependent on how long you want to walk for. There are some lovely play areas for kids, especially when the weather is warmer, or if you don't mind getting a bit muddy. Visitors centre has a cafe, haven't tried the food but it always smells good. Toilets are also available either inside visitors centre or at the main kids play area, they are towards the rear of the kiosk shop next to the play area. Used to be a lovely place but now the owner allow ppl on site that threat to smash ppl kits up when proff given ie live stream footage and messages from said person on site he dose nothing either tho saying the guy has be mentioned b4 with his anttics my advise don't fish it the person in pic you want to avoid on that fishery if you did go. Instead go to a pleasant place call doddington Lane pits brilliant carp all lakes have 40lb+ perfect swims ger left alone and peace full very well run fishery and only 5...
