Edstone Aqueduct is one of three aqueducts on a 4 miles length of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal in Warwickshire. All are unusual in that the towpaths are at the level of the canal bottom. At 475 feet, Edstone is the longest cast iron aqueduct in England.

Came here for the first time on Saturday and really enjoyed walking up from the Edstone Aquaduct to Wootton Wawen Aquaduct where there's a nice pub and picnic benches, you can follow the trail up to Yarningdale but I followed a trail off the beaten track into the woods. You can also walk into Stratford from here as it's about 7 miles or so down the Canal which is good. Plenty of dog walkers and other people but it wasn't too busy so it was nice. All in all a great spot on the Canal to go for a bit of fresh air, just be mindful it's only a very small car park at this location so get...

Beautiful stretch of the stratford canal, we parked at the stratford park & ride which was £1 for the whole day (what a bargain) & then had a short walk down the canal to the aqueduct & back to the car park, it was around a 7 mile walk in total & was stunning the whole way down, there were several locks to see & lots of wildlife as usual & also lots of people out & about it was a lovely few hours out in...

A place full of history and amazing architecture. It's the longest aqueduct in England and crosses 2 roads, a stream and railway line. There is a layby at the bottom of the aqueduct, which will hold about 5 cars. There are a few steps to get up to the aqueduct, which are easy to climb. Can be a bit muddy walking across it in very wet weather. There's an information board at the bottom as well...
