Update on this issue. After my partner was completely fobbed of. I also emailed in myself and was offered £17.50 refund back from a £79 day out £50 for adults to do nothing. Cattle country i think this is poor. The lack of communication and customer support you offer is ridiculous. There should be staff on site who are trained to deal with this there and then so it saves back and forth silly emails. The inconvenience that I had to email on top after you fobbed of my partner is ridiculous. Maybe the next customer who has a similar issue you will learn to sort it out promptly and take responsibility of your mistakes first time round.
Really disappointed with the lack of customer service and help from here. Normally we love this place but after recent events and the lack of help I don't think we will be returning.
My partner had booked for us to come for my Birthday on the 15th of February.
We paid in total £79 adults being £12.50 each and children £15 each and for my 1 year old £12.50. So £50 for the adults alone to attend for what should of been a fun day out.
On the website it stated that the barn/farm trail was closed until February. So for the family it is something for all to do. When we arrived the farm trail was closed and they had the barn open with the lamb, goats and pigs and a couple of rabbits and guinea pigs.
Not really exciting to stand in a barn and not be able to walk the trail.
Yes the softplay and the other indoor play area was open. But in the new soft play there is a lack of seating and when you could grab a seat the chairs are tiny and uncomfortable.
It was messy and over crowded due to the bad weather which I know no one can help.
We question it to a young lad on our way out about the trail and there was very little for the adults to enjoy considering we paid £12.50 each! He was confused why the website said open February and it was wrong.
So my partner has emailed with a poor excuse of a email back. No sorry or goodwill gesture.
We feel absolutely robbed. Paying all that money when I could of just taken them to a soft play for a fraction of the price!
Cattle country since has changed the website after we had emailed in. But I did take a screan shot of the original note they had put on there.
Such a shame because we normally love this place but again feel robbed and let down with the lack of customer service.
SEE PHOTO BELOW THAT THE FARM TRAIL WAS OPENING...
Read moreActivities here include an indoor play barn with wavy slide and death slide, gift shop, huge wooden castle play area, shallow lido/paddling pool, mini golf, trampolines and bounce cushions, netted climbing wall, petting "zoo" with rabbits and guinea pigs inc calves and lambs, alpacas, pigs, goats, deer, ducks and chickens you can feed. There is also a boating pond where children if accompanied by an adult can canoe with provided life jackets. Food options are a small snack bar/ice cream outlet and a much larger purpose built cafe. All activities apart from the tractor ride £1.50 are included in the entrance fee. There were some miniature elec cars for smaller kids on a track.. not sure if this was an extra but presume so. There's lots of outdoor seating for picnics and plenty of trees to get some shade. Undercover picnic area is limited. Have not been here for years due to other commitments.. but decided to pop by today with my 11 year old. It was fine for 3-4 hours, but after that she and her friends got bored because it's more geared towards smaller kids. In general though this is a nice farm park. The only criticism I would have is that it does need some TLC.. spotted litter here and there which needs clearing up..toilet block by entrance has seen better days, sign posting as you move away from the entrance area is poor and some of the older areas feel a little bit tired. I remember years ago there was a really nice circular walk, but this seems to have been given over solely to the tractor rides ..which is a shame speaking from an adult's point of view. Huge investment is going on here though with a second indoor play barn in progress. The rest of the park just needs a little bit of general sprucing up so it matches how nice the new buildings are...
Read moreVisited Cattle Country Farm Park on the 13th August with our 2 and 6 year old whilst on holiday to the Cotswolds. Had a really fantastic day, arriving at 10am and leaving at 3pm, although we could have easily stayed until you kicked us out but the youngest needed a sleep!
Absolute stellar value for money, particularly for this age range. I can't think of anywhere else we have been where you can go in two soft plays (with a slide that scared the jeepers out of me), a paddling pool, sand construction site, boating lake, castle play area, mini golf, trampolines, pillow bouncing things, climbing net, a maize maze and some stuff that I've definitely missed. It's all brilliantly laid out, well signposted and spread out enough to make little ones feel that they're on a proper day out, but not shattered by walking around so far. The farm trail was excellent - again, well looked after animals and the opportunity to feed and get up close with everything from an alpaca to a guinea pig.
It's great to see farmers diversifying and making a success of it - I'd love to know how much support the family who set it up had. There's a real attention to detail everywhere and an understanding of what works and what doesn't. It's clean, tidy and run by a ridiculously young team who are polite and helpful at every opportunity. You can tell they all enjoy working there and have a proper community feel - give them a raise.
Shout out to Jamie who took us on the tractor ride (it's well worth the couple of quid extra) and for his informative talk about the cattle and how the farm works. Doing a great job when people insist on talking over the top of him when we were in the field with the cows.
Shame we live 190 miles away - we'd be there...
