Fantastic beach! Me and my husband travelled far to visit. Dogs are welcome 🙂

The beach is beautiful, views are superb and the area has been preserved and kept very clean.

The best bit is that is doesn't matter if you forget your swimwear! It's incredibly liberating being on a nudist beach. It's also great because there are almost no children; so no footballs, crying, screaming or rubbish around.

It's a truly spectacular place with a climate that makes you feel like you're abroad. Clear, warmish sea, no litter, happy people, pretty much adults only. Well be going back for a long weekend next year for some real relaxing time.

Our dog loves the beach and he made some good friends there too! It's asked that they are kept on the lead and everyone seemed to adhere to this rule.

Parking is difficult. We arrived around midday and had to park half a mile from the beach. It was a nice little walk and not an issue for us. If you aren't so mobile, it's worth going early to get a closer space.

Highly recommended, thanks...

A beautiful paradise. On a hot summer's day, this beach feels like the Mediterranean. Everytime I visit here during the summer, the weather is magnificent. The scenery is very beautiful : purple heather; soft, pale sand; warm, calm seas (sea temperature is as warm as 23°c here due to the shallowness); views across to Old Harry's Rocks and glorious isolation.

Perfection. The chain ferry from Poole is extremely busy in high season, so walking or cycling is the preferred option. Providing you take water, food, and sunscreen with you, it's a pleasant, 20-minute walk from the point the ferry drops you off to reach this beach. Just turn left from the road/ferry drop-off point and walk along Knoll Beach, following the coast all the way. Alternatively, you can cycle and lock your bike outside the showers and toilets that you first come across upon leaving the ferry drop-off point. From there, it's also a...

Lovely clean beach, family friendly, some fishing out of season in May. Take a beach shelter, few lites of water, maybe a flask for tea and coffee, but in season there is normally a cabin run by National Trust for refreshments, due to Covid this might not return, and wasn't there today in May.

Clothing is optional, although many dressed and that's not any issue, do what you like but keep it family friendly on the beach, water a bit cold in May, will warm up later in the year, people swimming however, perhaps due to no pools open, how else you going to swim?!

Take something to provide shade, because there is no shade offered at all, so a beach shelter will be a good call. You can park and walk in down the track, we found a gear buggy handy, although don't take more than you can carry, as when it gets sandy you need to take the weight off to allow it to be dragged through the...

I honestly got no words for this hostile environment of naturists when you enjoy memories outside this spot tensions spark I see more female hostility fake naturists as there much textile and not experienced naturists as I first experienced. I only stayed for 15 minutes and looking at the water seaweeds were there much to their unsuspecting trend I might notice jellyfish might be in vicinity too. Studland is pretty much female hostile zone that aren’t true naturist themselves to take advantage for first experience visitors. Definitely never visiting there again. I never felt this offended as studlands intimidating welcome. The dunes a mile behind that stupid beach was at least better to share the freedom but I am not trying to be sexist to women or anything but it’s how I felt and how I saw in my visit and I felt hurt and regretting visiting studland due to a hostile environment

Best naturist beach in England, although a bit of a walk from the car park (free for National Trust members). Wonderful soft sandy beach, so comfortable when you lie down, but hard sand near the sea so helps with walking. Beach shelves gently into the sea so good for swimming. 1 km long so great for naked walks. A lot of textiles walk along the beach but they generally don't stare so doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, even when a large school party trekked along the naturist section. Helps that there is good signage, so people aren't surprised. We were lucky to have an Indian summer with temperature in the low 20s and a gentle breeze so perfect for us and at least 100 other naturists, most of whom were older, although it was outside school holidays. A few male meerkats back in the dunes, so would expect more frequent visits from national trust staff.
