Have been going here for years now, it's always been spot on and the staff have always been lovely. Today though I made the mistake of returning our plates and cups to the counter (just to be nice), only to be spoken to like a kid, and to be told "it just means someone will be sitting at a dirty table now". 🤔 I was so surprised by the attitude it was only when I got outside I realised the woman had actually been arsey with me. It's a shame that some people still think it's okay to have a snotty attitude towards customers. Luckily we've got plenty of other regular haunts where the staff are always nice, so we'll visit those a little more and won't be returning to...

What a lovely place to visit. I have lived locally for over 20 years and didn't realise that we had such an amazing beauty spot nearby. I saw swans, swans, various birds, ponds, wild flowers. There's a place to get drinks and snack and there's a leaflet to show where the paths run. It was a sunny day so the pathways were dry and we managed to walk a loop around Joe's Pond. There's parking at the visitors centre but it is a bit of a walk if you need to park on the entrance road. The gates are shut at 4.30 pm so don't lose track of time if you visit in...

Visited here for the first time. Found it easy to park then paid a visit to the cafe. Had a delicious bacon sandwich which I would highly recommend, followed by raspberry and lemon cake which was equally delicious. Coffee was perfect. We then had a walk around the reserve, it was so clean and peaceful and an excellent place to walk our new puppy. Added bonus that all dogs are required to be kept a lead. Excellent all round visit which we will definitely be returning soon. Staff at the cafe were...

Rainton Meadows- Durham Wildlife Trust Was absolutely relaxing, i feel so tired now. I was there with my husband for about an hour and half. I'm disabled in a wheelchair and the main paths are accessible as the rest of the reserve isn't disabled friendly. The shop, cafe and toilets are disabled friendly. I didn't go into the cafe as I felt too tired, but will go next time. A huge range if Wildlife. There are a few disabled parking bays in front of the cafe/ shop main house. There are 2 car parks.
