Gorgeous views and was hardly busy during the Bank Holiday. Stacked reservoirs that are all easily accessible with outstanding views. Parking is primarily off-road or on the street nearby. Pushchair friendly as most of the main walkway is paved. There are paths to explore off road which are in the wooded area and are neat and well maintained. Great for walking or cycling. Loads of places for a picnic and exploration. Went there the first time over the weekend and will definitely be going back regularly now with the...

A pleasant walk around country paths and reservoir. Not many places to sit and eat a picnic (that we found, anyway) and on the way back from the reservoir we ended up in what looked like a path but was wildly overgrown and required some adventuring to get back to where we thought we should be. 3 year old loved it though, so well worth it. In the end we climbed up a hill and had our picnic there.

A decent walk but probably better for locals walking their dog...

Great place to take the dogs for a walk. Be warned though a lot of the trails will be quite muddy if it has rained recently. I think they vary in difficulty too. Some being more like an obstacle course ie. very rocky paths with potholes and fallen logs you need to climb over and steap slopes to clamber up or a scenic stroll along the canal. Great place for a walk, hike or ride with many paths to select. Also liked the fact it has disabled accessible routes. Its very quiet and peaceful and if you love bird watching then this is probably a good place to do so. Only downside is there isn't any designated parking place so if you have a car then you're better to park off the road towards the reservoir.

Lovely walk, choice of routes with miles wide paths an option on muddier days, or over dirt tracks when weather better. Beautiful views, not ever too busy like dovestones can be. Lack of bins is my only issue, so occasionally see dog poo bags hanging on bushes, which is a shame.
