3pm Sunday 23 - 3 - 25 Firstly I should mention it was very busy. The car park was almost full. And iv never seen it this way. In no particular order here are the negatives. (1) While walking in the woods in the area close to the wooden tadpole to frogs wood carving there were two issues. One the incredibly loud music that could be heard thoughout most of the wooded area. This is eminating from the car parking area at the rear of the woods. This area seemed to have attracted a large number of teenagers. These teens were also amusing themselves by throwing stones at people walking in the woods! .. Myself and my partner were nearly hit. (2) Teenagers riding large electric bikes at high speeds on the football pitch and surrounding area and though the woods. It's only a matter of time before someone is run into and injured. (3) Also there is quite alot of odvious vandal damage & Litter etc. All things concidered we won't be returning...

We have now been several times. Cheap parking 80 p for 2 hours. Safe lay area soft safe area under slides etc. Suitable swings for children from about 9 months to big kids. One swing allows a baby one end and a patent or sibling to sit the other side facing the baby which is very popular. The play area has equipment to suit all ages. The duck lake with swans is next door which is a bonus. There is a ranger station which opens more in the summer but has occasionally been open for coffee etc when we have been. The earlier to go the less packed it is. Picnic tables and seating available for grandparents and nursing mums. In the summer there is an area where they have water jets coming out the ground and looks great fun. Highly recommend. Our 2 year old and 6 year old never want to leave. The maintenance man is very efficient always sweeping leaves etc...

We visited Decoy Park this afternoon. We travelled from Plymouth & hadn't been before. Google maps kept trying to take us to a residential car park instead of the main entrance so please beware if following the sat nav. We had such a lovely day. My kids, 4 & 2 absolutely loved it. We started the day by playing in the play park, which had lots of choice for all ages & lots of space. The kids then chose an ice lolly each & a coffee for me at the kiosk. We fed the ducks & swans then walked around the woods. Nice flat walk, accessible for prams. Parking was cheap too, we had no change for pay and display but there is the option to use the Ring Go app/phone number so we did that & it cost us £1.53 for 3 hours which was great value. There's plenty picnic benches if you are bringing lunch & toilet...

This is a great park as many have advised. The route in is through a housing estate so a little odd, but once there the carpark have quite a few spots. You have to pay and display so be warned. The swings and ziplines look good and the water sprays for the kids are welcome relief if it's hot. There's a reservoir where you can fish (I assume a licence is needed) but the jetties are nicely placed along the walk around the area. There's woods/field to let dogs run and play and plenty of mess bins in case of the inevitable. There are loos also opposite the kiosk and the scenery around the reservoir is lovely, plenty of tranquil spots to sit and enjoy the area. Overall a great place for children and kids and the walking has a great footing with few trip hazards. Enjoy an amble around this scenic area.👍

Decoy has a childrens play park, a large area for sports and a great walk around a small man made lake. There are toilets, a snack shop and a car park that is fairly priced. The play park has a few swings, two zip wires and an area for smaller kids to play. There is also a huge castle climbing frame which my kids love and a water zone which is very popular in the summer. All surrounded by a metal fence so it's safe to let the rascals run around. We always walk around the lake and take in the beautiful scenery, this takes about 30 minutes and you will usually see swans, squirrels and plenty of seagulls. There is a big field to play football or other sports there too. Definitely worth a visit or two.
