I often park here on the way home from a long drive or just to take in the views in the day or night as in the day it has panoramic views over Torbay and beyond. At night there is very little light pollution so you can gaze into the stars with a decent field of view. Cars do come tearing past here during the day time and at night so can be a little startling on occasion or snap you immediately out of your tranquil thoughts. Overall it's a nice quiet place with nice views. I think it's chargeable for parking but I'm pretty sure I've never come across someone enforcing it, I think they solely rely on people noticing the fake camera and assume most people won't risk the potential of expensive ANPR systems being in place which presently...

Breath taking views from this beauty spot location. Car parking area available which leads onto nature trails that wind down the cliff and along the coast in each direction. This walk is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Very steep Trek's. Lots of uneven steps and footpaths, but just enjoying the view from the carpark is enough. Dog friendly although keep pets on leads as farm animals do graze in the fields. (Just a word of warning if you're a night owl. As this place is a remote beauty spot it is also locally well known to have different spectacles on show during sun down hours if you're of sensitive nature stick to visiting whilst...

We went for really nice walk to Labrador Bay with its lovely far reaching views across the sea and coastline. If you are lucky like we were. You could/can see Dolpins not far out from the shoreline. A pair of binoculars would be a great addition to your walk. Walking from Shaldon, the walk is a bit up and down but, well worth it in the long run. For the more adventurous out there. Keep in walking to Maidencombe, for a well earned cup of tea/coffee and a snack at the beach side cafe. Take a seat and enjoy the views or even go for a swim. We actually walked back up the road and caught a bus back to Shaldon. We know how...

Stopped here just to admire the view it was quiet and you do have to pay to park. Spent about 45 mins here walking and admiring the wildlife as well as the view. Usually an ice cream van on the car park. Many bees and butterflies as well as cows... not see any birds of note ...Glad we stopped as for years we had driven past without stopping. Also I walked along the Coastal Path on another visit this involves walking up the incredibly steep hills that is on the left on image 1. Beautiful peaceful well worth an hour to enjoy the views. I stop here everytime I come to Devon now.
