Gorgeous woodland featuring a hide. Parking problematic as the car park seems to only be open on weekends (?). We parked in a (frankly disgusting) lay-by/bus stop - marked with a parking “P” sign - on the main road and walked up. This would of been fine, but we had our 3 year old with us, and therefore had to carry him due to the very narrow path and speed of the road.

One of my favourite places. The hide is a great place to see Nightingales and the wood has breeding Goshawk. A great place for families and Dog walkers. White Admiral Butterflies can be seen in late Spring early Summer and Deer visit the pond to drink. A perfect place to spend a long Summers day.

Nice walk through the woods. Lots of birds around. Bluebells were marvellous in mid April. Unfortunately the car park was closed for the year. Parked on the road then walked in. Signs were a bit vague but you can't get too lost.

I’ve been once before and it was ok I thought I’d give it another try before being quick to judge the tracks are absolutely awful, very wet and muddy! Not for children or older generations at all! I barley made it back to the 4pm shut time 😏 It stank like sewage bog water, you can hear cars in the distance and perhaps houses are near by I could hear nature at its finest with a hint of Rihanna in the background. Save yourself the trouble and don’t visit! I won’t be...

As a visitor to the area we were looking forward to an evening walk around the woods, had to park in lay-by on A40 then walk to entrance. Found the paths very rutted, slippery & hard going. Spent my time watching where I was going so couldnt enjoy the landscape or spotting any birds. Sadly didnt enjoy the experience. There was a dog waste bin but many hadnt bothered cleaning up! If the paths were maintained & had wood chip on them it would have been...

Called for an injured swan both these and the Rspca but neither were open and the Rspca was worse they didn’t open until 8 and said to call back at 8 for emergencies it was 6.30 in the morning on an extremely busy road, with multiple schools meaning extreme traffic.

Anyway there was a local rescue who answered and came to get him. But took me a long time to find help for him and and at 8 I would have been...
