My husband and myself visited the Gnome Reservation not quite knowing what to expect. We absolutely loved it! It is a magical place and not just for children. The lady, Ann, who runs the place is a highly qualified artist and makes some beautiful gnomes, pixies and fairies that she sells in the shop at a very reasonable price. She also paints some beautiful, magical pictures that she sells prints of for a bargain price of £5 if you buy them without the mount. Ann is a lovely lady and this is a beautifully run family business that is very reasonably priced to get in at less than £4 each for an adult. The only thing I would say is that it is not particularly manual wheelchair friendly, although not impossible, but it is hard to push a manual wheelchair along the path. It would be easier to push a child in a wheelchair and a pushchair would not be a problem. That said, it would not be a problem for an electric scooter or wheelchair. Despite that, I saw a woman in a manual wheelchair going around, so like I said,...

If you like nature then you will love it here, set in beautiful countryside. Has a nice tearoom doing sandwiches and cream teas, you sit outside but there are covered areas. It's a nice walk round woods looking at the gnomes, flowers, wildlife, gets you away from the hustle and bustle. The lady who runs it also makes lovely pixies to buy, this is our second visit, my boys love it here, especially choosing a pixie to buy, you even get to walk round wearing a gnome hat! Nice to see everyone joining in with this and getting in the spirit, puts a smile on your face!We took a picnic here but also had a great cream ttea here, little birds will cone near you for the crumbs if you are quiet. Wild flower garden is next to Gnome wood, you get a quiz sheet for this if you want one, again a leisrely walk in countryside counting the fairies! ...

It is a bit of a strange concept but it is very nice all the same. Literally just hundreds of garden gnomes in a forest and also a pretty little wildflower walk. Cheap to get in but also very small and only takes about an hour to do the whole place, get to borrow 'gnome hats' on your way in and also there is a quiz for the flower garden which my niece enjoyed helping with. Main downside was we ordered 6 cream teas and it was shared between pots and there is no way we had enough to warrant the money that was spent on it as they were £5 each, 1 jug of coffee between 4 people so just enough for one cup, 2 tiny jugs of milk between 6, 1 pot of cream and jam between 6, Scones were also a little dry. It is an ok place to go if you only have a few...

Don't let the diminutive size of the Gnome Reserve fool you. It is charming, heartwarming, and worth a stop in if you're in the area. We went on a dreary, rainy day and still loved it. The proprietors were friendly and engaging, and you can feel the love and energy they put into building this place. We didn't get a chance to try the coffee shop, but it seemed quite nice as well. Strolling through the short gnome path made me feel like I was in an old Disney movie or something like that (the weather in this case may have helped with that feeling). It was a serene, calming, and somewhat quirky experience.
