A small peaceful long and wide bay (at low tide), mainly shingle, adjacent to the Cemlyn Nature Reserve with its Sandwich tern colony. Accessed by a mainly single track road about 2 miles off the A5025. Small car park with space for 25-30 cars.

Excellent place to visit. Free Parking is there. Walking along the beach. Lots of wildlife to see.

Another outstanding walk around the coastal path, with convenient car park and nature reserve.

We visited Cemlyn Bay in October when all the Terns had departed. My rating obviously takes this into consideration. When we visited the reserve we saw a large group of 200-300 (?) Golden Plover on the foreshore, a single Turnstone on the shore of the lagoon, a couple of Redshank. There were Dunlin and Ringed Plover on a pool of floodwater, A Sheduck and handfull of Little Egret on the lagoon itself and Rock Pipits on the headland. Certainly worth visiting in the late Spring. I expected to see more waders on the Tern island and around the edge of the lagoon if I'm honest. Well worth a visit if you like to photograph...

We came here yesterday after a local man told us he caught 48 crabs in one session. Driving in it was reminiscent of Chernobyl. As soon as we got out the car we were overwhelmed by the smell of sewage from the nearby power plant/sewage works. Despite the tide being on the way out, the rock pools were sparse. The beach was basically sludge. All in all we agreed that it was probably one of the worst places we've been to in the UK. We left after 5 mins and went back to Cemaes Bay where the rock pools were much better. I'm not sure why anyone would...

After visiting the crowded beaches of south Anglesey, we decided to venture north. This gem has a small car park but it still wasn’t full mid afternoon. No toilet or any other facilities but this pebble beach was a breath of fresh air. Great for swimming and paddle boarding at or near low tide. Lovely walk along the cliffs one way and sea bird sanctuary and lagoon the other way. Thankfully devoid of annoying jet skis (when we were...
