Beautiful gardens - they were past their peak when we visited in October but we're still lovely to walk around with late season dahlias and asters in abundance. The garden isn't huge as public gardens go but as a private enterprise is astounding. They are clearly the product of love and care. The staff member who was in attendance when we visited was incredibly helpful.

In terms of COVID, I don't think I've been anywhere that's been as conscientious. The info is clear and logical, the temporary route is well signposted and none of the restrictions felt overbearing.

It's a garden that clearly welcomes repeat visits across the seasons and I hope to visit...

I just have to write to say what a joy the Hidden Valley Gardens are. It’s a paradise for anyone who loves plants and an inspiration for gardeners everywhere, whether professional or amateur. If you just want to stroll around a cosy, beautiful and diverse garden, look at beautiful flowers or want ideas for combinations of plants, this garden has it all. I love this garden SO much and of all the gardens I’ve visited in Cornwall this is by far my favourite. Magical without being overwhelming, you feel this garden has been made with love and the pure joy of growing. Long may this garden continue to grow and thrive. Oh, and the cakes are pretty...

Visiting in Sept there is plenty of colour in the extensive herbaceous beds. Island beds in the main. Very much a plantsman's garden, with a huge range of plants and many unusual forms. Probably 30+ dahlias for example. Will be good throughout the season with lots of Spring bulbs (eg snowdrop collection and primulas), extensive fernery, and plenty of shrubs. Plenty of seating, everything is labelled clearly, helpful staff and a nice little nursery an tearoom (closed currently). An excellent place to spend a couple of hours if you...

Wonderful find just a few minutes from Par, greeted on arrival by the owner who gave us a very friendly introduction to the history of the garden. It's a garden that just keeps giving, help yourself to tea, coffee just wash up afterwards. Homemade cakes for sale to go with your cuppa plus plants of amazing quality grown on site . It's only a few acres, but you could spend all day here. Dogs welcome on leads

A beautiful small garden ( by comparison to Heligon ) , an absolute oasis of tranquility and we had it all to ourselves ! A must see destination for all garden lovers but probably not suitable for children who are looking for adventure or activity . A couple of hours is perfect to see everything in detail .
