If you like your beach with nothing there but sand, sea and rocks, this is the place for you. There is a small parking area and that's it. It's the most northerly beach in the British Isles. It's also quite small. The water is clean and there's no litter or dog mess (though strictly speaking dogs aren't allowed because of the wildlife). If you go, please leave it that way. Skaw Beach is honestly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever been. It’s way up at the very top of Unst, and the drive there alone is worth it. The sand is soft, the water is crystal clear, and you’ll probably have the whole place to yourself except for a few seabirds. Standing there, with nothing but sea and sky in front of you, really feels like the edge of the world. Definitely worth the trip if you’re...

Wow what a find this place was. Worth the narrow and in places steep road to get here. You won't be disappointed! Beautiful beach! Some lovely scenic walks near by too. We didn't see any, but cetaceans can be spotted from here too. Worth noting that no dogs are allowed down here on the beach though. Our trip here was absolute bliss, could have stayed all day. Can't wait...

Skaw Beach is honestly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever been. It’s way up at the very top of Unst, and the drive there alone is worth it. The sand is soft, the water is crystal clear, and you’ll probably have the whole place to yourself except for a few seabirds. Standing there, with nothing but sea and sky in front of you, really feels like the edge of the world. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in Shetland.
