Skaw Beach — Attraction in Unst

If you like your beach with nothing there but sand, sea and rocks, this is the place for you. There is a small parking area and that's it. It's the most northerly beach in the British Isles. Skaw Beach is honestly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever been. It’s way up at the very top of Unst, and the drive there alone is worth it. The sand is soft, the water is crystal clear, and you’ll probably have the whole place to yourself except for a few seabirds. Wow what a find this place was. Worth the narrow and in places steep road to get here. You won't be disappointed! Beautiful beach! Some lovely scenic walks near by too. We didn't see any, but cetaceans can be spotted from here too. Worth noting that no dogs are allowed down here on the beach though. Our trip here was absolute bliss, could have stayed all day.
