Wow, we popped into here today for a spot of lunch and it did not disappoint. We had a sandwich and a hot drink and these were very tasty. Staff helpful and friendly. The views are amazing and we were happy watching the sheep graze from our sofa whilst we had lunch 🥪. The building is bright and comfy and surrounded by wild flowers. We will definitely be visiting again. There is a small indoor play area complete with a play kitchen. Toilets are of a high standard and have a really good baby changing facilities. Plenty of parking What3words: ///cluttered.outfit.nightlife Going to return for a cooked breakfast very soon. We had two sandwiches and two hot drinks for around £16, good value in my opinion and a stunning view.

Owners respond quickly to queries specially during checkout when we were having trouble opening the key lock. James was friendly, warm accommodating and welcoming. We were also told that they ran yoga classes and they have variety of programs. The Pavillion has awesome food and our favorite was Royal Benedict.

Popped in for a coffee but was swayed by the fantastic "Jaffa" cake..... So had to have a hot chocolate to wash it down with!! Delicious. Loads of free parking; lovely views from the café; lovely staff; great choice of cakes and snacks. Looking forward to our next visit!

Liked: Owner was flexible with use of fire pit

Disliked: I first arrived on my own and the owner was very chatty. I thought he was just a bit of a character at first but then he started asking me how old I was, telling me I looked younger, asking whether I was married, do I have children etc. He kept coming over to watch me put up my tent, not offering to help, just watching me. Later he told me he prefers younger women than women of his age and he made a joke about putting a hedgehog in my tent at night.

He said hello to my dog nicely and then made out like she was sniffing his crotch when she clearly wasn’t. When my friends arrived, he came over again and stood very close to me while I was bent over using the air pump. I felt really uncomfortable, like he was staring down my top. I moved round but he kept staring.

There is a mannequin when you come into the entrance. The owner has dressed the mannequin in lingerie and handcuffs and told me that someone had shot its face off with a shotgun.

With all this combined, we just felt quite uncomfortable around him and if I had been on my own I would not have stayed the night. Luckily I had my dog with me and my friends in the tent next door. We stayed civil to him and left early the next morning.

In terms of the site itself, as others have said it is very basic for the money we paid. We didn’t use the showers due to feeling uncomfortable so can’t comment on those. There is a main road nearby which was noisy the whole night through - take ear plugs! I’d also recommend strong insect repellent as there were lots of midges where we were.

We will not be going back and I personally would not recommend young women stay there alone. He may have not done anything further than comments and looking but it didn’t feel professional or...

Lovely looking site, looks promising once it is finished! The cafe building looks really cool from the outside. Could do with a little bit of music playing inside to create more of a vibe, considering it's such a large space. Sadly our lunch took over 30mins to arrive despite the cafe not being busy. Unsure why it took so long (2 plates) but once we asked where it was, they brought it over 5 minutes later. The ploughman's wasn't quite what we hoped for £15- dry salad, bread, some pieces of pickled onion, cheese, saus roll. Felt like it needed some dressing and chutney? We appreciate the pressures on hospitality and rising costs but this felt sub-par. Maybe a more limited menu but done better? This place definitely has loads of potential with the right ideas/execution! Hope they can...
