Just come to the Gnoll Park for a walk and me and my partner wanted some food first. We popped to the café, which seems to be downsized as the main one looks to be under construction currently, and both got 2 bottles of pop, 2 sausage rolls and 2 doughnuts. No issues. Now I work in food industry so it's instinct for me to look at food dates constantly, just second nature, and I noticed that the date was 04/01/2025 for all of the food. We mentioned this to the lady and she explained "no it's supposed to say February" Obviously we were a bit reluctant still but she took them away to sort it.

The problem arises with the other member of staff she took the food to. We heard her loudly exclaiming "Well it's obviously meant to be February isn't it? Cos if it was January they would be mouldy and green etc. Do we care that it's wrong though? No, no we don't. They need to use their common sense"

Basically made us feel like fools. Now I do appreciate that if they really were that much out of date, then yes they would show signs of it. However, neither of us appreciated the attitude from that woman at all and quite frankly I think it was disgusting of her to behave that way when we brought up a valid point. It's more than acceptable to challenge an out of date sticker on food and forgive me for not using my "common sense" but typically I feel like most people wouldn't be comfortable consuming something that is said to be nearly a month out of date. Never had any issues with the members of staff...

The park is quiet considering the size, absolutely love the fact that every 100 / 200 yards they have a bench all the way around the Gnoll Lake, as this enabled my elderly parents to have breaks on each bench which they greatly needed. This enabled them to enjoy the full walk around the Lake, being it that the benches were there in place, all other places should follow suite and learn from this lovely park.. The grassy areas are clean fresh and plenty for families snd kids to let off some pepped up energy.. The café was a nice surprise, and served lovely refreshments which on a hot day were very appreciated.. There's toilets there also which are tented to and nicely kept clean and usable. There are plenty of spaces in the carpark and nice tarmac so no maddy feet last thing getting into vehicles. There's a couple of children's parks there with their usual fun Obstacles and climbing frames to keep the little ones entertained while you relax and take in the fresh air and scenery of swans and young ducklings on the Lake. Last of all, check the billboard maps there dotted around as there are lots of forestry trails to venture on and some old building and structures with an historical...

A lovely park to walk around. We visited during half term and it was surprisingly quiet. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. Most of the footpaths are wheelchair/pushchair friendly. It depends how far into the woods etc you go. I did find it difficult to work out where the paths lead and there wasn't any clear visible map to show the park where what lead so we ended up pushing the pram up a hill which then became rocky and a bit more off road. The paths around the lakes and grounds were fine. Just would of been handy to have had a map of the park showing routes and if they are suitable for prams. Parking was £2.80 for up to 4 hours which was reasonable. I wouldn't probably spend longer than that there. There is two fairly sized parks which are both very well maintained and suitable for different age groups. My 4 year old loved playing in both of them. There was also a cafe at the entrance where you can have some food and icecream. There was picnic benches by the car park but would of been handy to have more further into the park then just regular benches but there was plenty of room for picnics so remember to take a...

Affordable car parking! Grass! Other people's dogs! This park is spacious, well maintained and has sausages for sale at the visitors centre. There are different playgrounds for children of different age/height/athletic ability and they're big enough for a whole sea of kids and their parents. If you like a leisurely stroll around a massive pond, and to hold hands near the bushes, then Gnoll Country Park welcomes you. There are plenty of routes to walk, some more popular than others: You can opt for a quiet, romantic idle, or a strenuous jog with your lycra covered contemporaries. The only downside is that, when there are special events or similar, the car park fills quickly and the surrounding roads get hella-clogged.
