Read moreRecently stayed at a camp site near here which was only a 10 minute walk away which was ideal. Took the family here for the day and had a lovely time. There are activities you can pay for but we didn't fancy it. The beach was clean and tidy and you could walk for miles. You can either arrive here by car or van and park up on th beach car park for as little as £6. Lovely area with a fish and chip shop and a local shop which has a small selection of products. Local coast guard is close by who handed us some leaflets and stickers for free. A lovely beach to bring the family and dogs to explore or even to try out the activities. It can get quite busy here so if you want a good spot I'd suggest to get there as early as possible to avoid disappointment. I would recommend this beach you're in the area or if your staying for a weekend locally this is a great day out...
Read moreLovely beach. As you come off the road, you enter the car park with a £6 charge for cars. Lasts all day. Get to park right by the beach. You can set up on the beach and not worry about moving because the toilets are very close as well as two cafes. Idea of prices: £3.80 for ice coffee. £4.50 for a sausage & chips. Oxwich magnet £2.50. £10.50 fish chips. Food good enough. The cafe accepts card but prefers cash payment.
The two restaurants are very expensive. As a family we didn't consider going.
Beach itself: tidy, lovely soft sand. It stretches across into the distance & to the right you have rock pools. Sea water very cold, somewhat clear, calm waters We found many jellyfish in the sea!
Many paddleboarders here and people with dogs. Families, groups of young & old, couples. Enjoyed by all. Many people there but not manic.
