A relic of bygone times that replaced an older wooden bridge here which is long gone now. Adjacent to this relic are two other road bridges one now disused other than for pedestrian traffic. I know which bridge is more characterful though. Here you can see how the transport of goods has changed over the centuries from pack horse to train and eventually to road.
