Named from its panoramic views, Three Cliffs Bay, also called Three Cliffs, is a well-liked beach in Gower, Wales, and a photographer's dream location. Three Cliffs Bay offers the following activities:

Pay a visit to Pennard Castle, a fortress perched above the cliff that provides panoramic views of the bay and the valley beneath Pennard Pill.

To get to the ruins, you can hike the sandy dunes or stroll across the golf course. Trailhead: Penmaen, a village north of the sea, is on the Gower Way, a long-distance trail with views of the coast on each side. St Illtud's Church, The Sands beach, and the remains of Oxwich Castle are also on the route.

Picnic: The beach is a wonderful location for a picnic and provides a picturesque section of the Wales Coast Path.

Watch animals: If you want to see wildlife, some people suggest tracking the flood tide up the valley. Fish: This is a spot where some people fish, despite it not being a very...

For me it's the best beach on Gower. The scenery, the sand, the sea is all first class! The walk to the beach takes about 25 mins and you have to have fairly decent mobility. I wouldn't say it's difficult but definitely not good for wheelchairs/prams and a little bit tricky for walking sticks, though I did see one person with a stick but pitied their walk ahead. The walk is beautiful through woodland and stream. The castle ruins on the hill we will explore next time. The tide is vast and goes out very far so lots of fun to explore the rock pools with little ones. The water is the cleanest I have seen in the area, absolutely crystal clear. Really is thee most beautiful beach that is friendly for dogs. Car park is £3 for the day and there's a van selling the most delish ice-cream after the trek back to the car. I cannot wait to go back to Three Cliffs Bay....

Just arrived home after a lovely week spent at Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park. The site is very well equipped for tents, camper -vans, caravans and motor-homes with or without electric. The shower/ toilet facilities are to totally amazing, each is en -suite ( toilet, shower & sink in same room ), i think there are about 20+ en-suites & 5 single toilets. Always hot water whatever time of day you use them.Always clean and well maintained. Well stocked shop, staff always very friendly and happy to help with any request you may have. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and breath taking. As a family we had some lovely walks on the beaches and coastal paths, walking from the camp site to Oxwich and back. We will be booking again to return next year and may even...

The Three Cliffs Beach is scenic, sandy beach, backed by three limestone cliffs is a spectacular shoreline of sand dunes. Three Cliffs bay is located on the south coast of the Gower, a thumb sized shaped peninsula situated in the centre of the south Wales coast. The beach is half an hour drive from the city of Swansea or a 90 minute drive from Cardiff. Check out this 3.7-km out-and-back trail near Overton, Swansea. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 46 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.
