We went down to the old abandoned brickwork and what a nice quiet place to be, there were some young hikers just packing up their campsite when we arrived and it seems to be quite a popular site for camping on a costal walking route. This is just an abandoned works with no information or displays about its use, but for a photographer it is a diamond in the rough. Parking is pretty restricted but it is an easy 30 minute walk in, but take water and snacks with you there literally is nothing there. At the right time with the right light the colours are stunning. This is not really a site for small or young children. It is a quiet reflective place of great decayin industrial beauty.

Somewhat of a hidden gem, although a lot busier nowadays, great for an explore and / or a swim. You can park in the layby near the turning, (don't park further up the road the footpath starts on, there's not many places to turn around and you'll just get in the way of farm traffic on the verge). Technically private property, but a little wonder never hurt anyone. Sadly it's often full of litter from the various illegal raves and camping that happen there, last time we popped down we ended up carrying 5 black bags of rubbish back up!

Truly fascinating brick works ruins on a stunning beach. It's hard to find somewhere to park, and it's a bit of a tricky walk down, but well worth it. It's like something straight out of uncharted or tomb raider! It's a shame, however, that not everyone respects the natural beauty, urinating all over parts of the ruins and leaving their rubbish all around. Some people should be ashamed of themselves! None the less we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the ruins and taking in the views!
