Fantastic place to spend a few days away, set on a cliff edge overlooking the mouth of the estuary and shipping lane to Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock, as well as views around the coast to St Anne's Head. The fort is extremely interesting, steeped in history, with lots of space to explore, and a comfortable place to stay. It boasts some great views, and is set right on the coastal path, and within close proximity to a nice sheltered sandy beach.

I didn’t understand it was an accommodation at first so I went there with a car and wanted to explore the castle. But it is marked as a private road. I think if you want to visit it, you have to book a night. I’m not sure. But I think it is an important information as seeing this on Google Maps and being displayed as opened 24 hours a day it views a different impression at first.

Really lovely, quiet location to stay in and a really unique building! We've stayed here four times now and I imagine we will be back in the future! There is a lovely walk down to the bay and it is great for stargazing, watching boats and the sunset

Stayed in the fort as a group via Landmark Trust. Such great fun to explore the Blockhouse itself, from the basement to the rooftop, and then the outbuildings, abandoned gunnery positions and so on. Perfectly situated for views across the Milford Haven estuary and Bristol Channel. Great coastal walks. Tip: it's on a busy shipping lane so install a vessel finder app on your phone before you come. Stop by nearby Dale Post Office & General Store...
