Absolutely great place to be. Wonderful view and great place for dogs to run around off-lead. It's quite a long hike from Chinthurst Lane and a very steep climb, but it is therefore a very good exercise ๐Ÿ˜€. I felt great afterwards. My dog did also. Whenever he has a long walk with lots of running around off-lead, he either runs around the house over and over again at top speed or in the garden.

Wooded hilltop with a folly tower and great views through the trees over Guildford and the cathedral. Sandy paths lead to the top, taking about 15 minutes from the unsurfaced free parking area. The walk is quite steep in places but worth it for the views at the top. The tower isn't open but adds some visual interest. The plate on top of the stone pillar marks reference points in all directions.

Great place for a dog walk and to get your heart pumping with the hill climb. Some steps in places, steep bits too but only a 15min trek to the top and a nice picnic bench to relax and catch your breath up there too. ๐Ÿ˜€ beware of the unsurfaced carpark, some really deep holes! Great log trail at the bottom for the kids too!

My wife and I always visit at least three or four times a year and are always impressed with the peace and quiet that can be found at the top of the hill. The views are beautiful and even on the hottest of days there is always that lovely breeze that takes a few degrees off so that you do not feel like you will melt once you have reached the top. The climb up is well sign posted and gives a very good workout to reach the top!! Highly...
