Wow. Where to even begin? Myself and my partner got gifted a full days falconry experience with these guys, and I'm already planning a return trip in the springtime with some more people. Gerard, Adam, thank you so much for the incredible time on Sunday. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more and are itching to get back over there as soon as possible. These guys have a wonderful bond with the raptors and it's clear that they care immensely about every aspect of their craft, the bird's wellbeing and educating people about them. They're so keen to show you their world and their enthusiasm has had a lasting effect. The area it takes place is stunning - Herstmonceux castle and the grounds surrounding it is the perfect setting for this. We were also quite lucky with the weather, (Mid-November so we were hoping it wasn't postponed) and enjoyed a clear, slightly breezy day. Absolute favourite part? Honestly too hard to decide. Bramble the long-eared owl provided some gorgeous close up pictures and loved the attention. The pair of kites swiping food from our gloves was exhilarating to say the least, and Cruise the vulture was quite happy to plod along with us, stopping to peck at our shoe laces when they caught his eye! We were expecting a field with a couple of birds flying back and forth. You guys blew it out of the water. We still absolutely be back - Look forward to seeing you guys again! ~ James and Becky

A wonderful day out at Sussex Falconry in Herstmonceux on the 1st July 2025. I was not sure what to expect from the surprise Birthday gift but I was extremely pleased that I had been given it. The birds are really amazing, stunning to look at and perfectly adapted for their needs. The location is absolutely gorgeous and the cost includes an opportunity to explore the grounds of the castle. Our host was Adam who has an amazing knowledge of the birds and keeps up a fascinating description of his birds and their habits and capabilities. I had the full day package which allowed me an opportunity to get up close and personal with 6 different birds. Thoroughly recommended.

What a fantastic unforgettable day. Right from the off, Gérard, Adam and Gemma were very welcoming and knowledgeable and made you feel right at home. The love of they're birds is so evident. The birds were stunning flying in they're natural habitats, not a small arena display. Walking through the woods in the lovely grounds, with hawks or owls following you, can't be topped, unless it's having two Red Kites swooping from hieght, taking food off a gloved hand. Or a Falcon diving at incredible speed at a lure. Breath taking. It's a lot of waking, but time flies buy, and you don't really notice it. I can't recommend it enough.

This is an absolute gem of a find 5 * I purchased the half-day experience for a friends birthday, we had an absolutely fabulous time. The greatest thing about this experience was that it was in the "wild", so it was great to see the birds in a natural environment, not sanitised in a showground. Gerard, the falconer, was so enthusiastic and made the whole experience totally wonderful. We flew three different bird types, a Harris Hawk (Cedar), Tawny Owl (Bramble) and Lanner Falcon (Neo). Each bird was flown in different terrain, hawk flown in the woods, showing the magnificent ability to fly at high speed through wooded area. The owl, again in a woodland area, only more open, a chance to see how the birds plumage worked as camouflage when sitting on trees, and the silent flight was amazing. The final bird, the Lanner, flown in the open, soared up a couple of thousand feet, when called to the lure moved at such incredible speed it was a marvel, the bird flew so close you could hear the rush of air. A totally amazing time, that I would...

I had booked the full day experience for myself and my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday in late April. This was the best time to go because it was a nice, dry day which wasn't too hot. Perfect weather for the birds and for us! I was so excited leading up to the event, that I was worried my expectations were too high- but they weren't! My expectations were met and exceeded! I knew the birds would be amazing, and the intimate experience you get where you walk with, hang out and feed them, but I was blown away by Adam's charisma and wonderful temperament. I think to do this job, you have to be into birds (which he definitely is), but his people skills are so astounding, that it was such a bonus for the experience as well. I think when I die, the stats I see at the end of my days will include this as one...
