Extreme Ventures — Attraction in Wealden

I booked a 2hr boulder scrambling party with Extreme Ventures for four 10yr olds and one 50 yr old Dad! They had a fabulous time with Brett and his lovely dog Lily. Its a brilliant activity for a birthday party, it's exciting and fun and kept them all occupied for 2hrs!! Brett is a well organised and safety conscious instructor. He is able to challenge the confident, able climbers and simultaneously encourage the more nervous. He has a really nice way with all age groups and we all had a great laugh. Afterwards we cooked sausages on a bbq in the carpark, which is on the edge of a delightful wood. In fact the whole setting is delightful. Absolutely fantastic experience. I was filled with confidence by the instructor on the day "Brett", I was made me feel completely at ease, and the knowledge of the instructor was very comforting and filled me with confidence which allowed me to go over the edge with total confidence which was my main fear. I was also shown properly how to set up a rig safely along with an explanation as to what is used where and more importantly why it was necessary rather than just being made safe and ushered over the edge. We booked two private 2 hour sessions for two 8 yo boys with Extreme Ventures over a single weekend, with the primary aim of building my son's confidence issues. Brett's patience and calm approach was excellent. Technically, he really knew his stuff and was extremely safety conscious. As importantly, he clicked with the boys and got the focus exactly right; and, with his lovely dog, Lily, certainly knew his way round the rocks. My son managed 2 rope climbs and completed some rock scrambling courses, which he had refused even to attempt when attending a birthday party a year ago (different company).
