"A Natural Wonderland - Seven Sisters Country Park"
My visit to Seven Sisters Country Park was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The park is truly one of Brighton's crown jewels, boasting a wealth of natural beauty and outdoor activities that cater to every nature enthusiast.
The iconic chalk cliffs of Seven Sisters are a sight to behold, with their striking white faces beautifully contrasting against the emerald-green grass and the deep blue of the English Channel. The panoramas from the cliff tops are truly breathtaking, offering an unspoilt view of Sussex's coastline. Remember to bring a camera - the photo opportunities are endless!
The park's abundant walking trails range from gentle strolls along the river to more challenging hikes up the cliffs, catering to all fitness levels. My personal favorite was the walk to Beachy Head, where you can enjoy an expansive view of the sea and the lighthouse.
Wildlife is plentiful in the park. Look out for the various bird species and, if you're lucky, you might spot a herd of wild ponies. It's a real treat for any nature lover.
The visitor center offers valuable information about the park's flora, fauna, and walking routes. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, ready to assist with any queries.
Accessibility is another plus point, with ample parking available and regular buses from Brighton making it a perfect day trip destination. Do note to carry your own food and water, as options within the park are limited.
Seven Sisters Country Park is a haven of natural beauty, a place where you can truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in nature's grandeur. It's a must-visit for anyone in or around Brighton! A clear 5-star rating for this magnificent...
Read moreA trip to Seven Sisters Country Park is an experience one will never forget for those looking for stunning natural beauty. The park's spectacular chalk cliffs, which have been sculpted by the winding Cuckmere River, are a sight to behold. It is a photographer's haven as there are endless possibilities of taking the perfect photograph, particularly during sunrise or sunset when the sun casts a golden light on the landscape.
The park offers a variety of walking and cycle routes for all fitness levels. My own favorite is the gentle stroll by the river to the beach, where you can walk close to the noted cliffs. If more challenge is your goal, the walk up to the clifftops treats you to marvelous views of the coast
Aside from the breathtaking cliffs, the park itself is a haven for wildlife. Bird-watchers will adore spotting an assortment of birds, and should you be extremely lucky, you might even spot a seal basking on the riverbanks. The serene atmosphere and the enormous, open areas provide the perfect escape from urban living. The untouched natural beauty of the park is an ideal destination to enjoy a picnic, a moment of peace, or a refreshing outdoor experience. It's a place that brings you back to nature in the most...
Read moreRead some articles about the number of hours needed to complete the seven sisters (eventhough it's a moderate hiking), which could be too ambitious to a family like us. Therefore, I decided straight to seven sisters country park instead of Seaford.
Our plan was very simple. We not going to complete the whole seven sisters, the hiking journey from seafood to Eastbourne. Instead, I've parked my car at seven sister car park, followed the 6 miles walk along the Cuckmere river to the white chalk cliff, enjoyed the sea view, walked closer to the chalk cliffs, and started our hiking overthere. After that, walked back to car park, and travelled to Birling Gap for the belle tout light house, and it's beach.
Tips/share experience: It's recommended to be there in the morning. The seven sisters country park car park isn't very big. See my photo about the price. Toilet is just opposite the car park. Be careful when you cross the road.
Take the middle route with proper built path (not up to the hill) will bring you to the beach.
The path for the first climb is steep. But, it's fun and exciting (next to the first white chalk cliff).
You may choose different path when you...
