It'd be better if they have toilet facility for kids near the park.. There's one at the football club, but thats closed most of the time. Plenty of free parking available in the park and on some event days when it's crowded, you can park on the road. Two big climbing frames are there in the kid's play area, there's a separate play area for toddlers.. Plenty of open green space for walking and for walking dogs. Easily can spend an hour or two with the kids. You can pack a picnic but if the football club is closed, you won't have access to any of the toilet facilities.. Otherwise...

There is a huge area for them to run around in with a large play area and a wooded walk around the outside edge with a diverse variety of wildlife to view if you keep the noise down a bit on your way round. Also a great area for walking the dog. Lots of Pigeons, Blackbirds, Red Wing Finches, Green Finches, Robins, Squirrels and I have also seen a Great Spotted Woodpecker.
