Fantastic and amazing farm attraction near Oswestry, Shropshire with an array of amazing things to do. There are a host of farmyard animals including Hereford Cattle, Boer Goats, Dorset Sheep, Kune Kune Pigs, Ponies, Alpacas and Rabbits to see and all are very well looked after in their paddocks and you can feed the Goats and the Sheep with some animal feed sold at the desk and the animals have a lovely feeding frenzy when they see it. In addition to the animals there are some very interesting things to see and do which are The Trenches Experience, Welsh Guards Museum, Iron Age Roundhouse and the Victorian Museum and Schoolroom. The Trenches Experience is an enactment of how Trenches were set up during WWI and was set up to remember the 100th anniversary of WWI and the Trenches Experience is probably the best example of a model of a Trench from that time period in the UK and you can get a clear idea of what fighting in the Trenches was like in the War and the conditions the soldiers fought and lived in and the experience is a great tribute who fought during the War and also there some interesting information points bolstering your knowledge. Of note the Trenches Experience is only open between the times of 11:15hrs-12:00hrs and 03:00hrs-03:30hrs. The Iron Age Roundhouse is another brilliant part of this attraction and as you walk up to the Roundhouse there is some interesting informative information points detailing the Iron Age in Britain and the people in Iron Age Britain and you can wander inside the Roundhouse getting a full clear idea of the living conditions for people during the The Iron Age and the Iron Age Roundhouse is an impressive structure in itself and is wonderfully constructed and is a great representation of what a Roundhouse looked like and its living conditions from Iron Age Britain. The Victorian Schoolroom and Museum houses what a schoolroom looked like from that time period and the schoolroom is usually open to pre-booked groups numbering above 15-16 people and the Victorian Museum has some wonderful interesting displays about the education system during the Victorian and how it evolved and changed through time, which is particularly enlightening and there are some interesting artefacts to see aswell. The Welsh Guards Museum is a great display about the history of the Welsh Guards and the battles they fought in and the contributions they've made to the British Army over the years. There are some fantastic Uniforms to see which are in absolutely amazing condition. You can also enjoy picturesque relaxing walk around Sycamore and there are some activities to see such as The Pig Racing and Animal Petting Session and Tractor Rides which are fun and interactive to do. There is a cafe on site selling a variety of refreshments at reasonable prices and also a gift shop with a nice selection of gifts and souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall this is a thoroughly enjoyable and intriguing place to visit which makes for a fun and interactive day out. Well worth a visit whilst in the area...

Really good Farm Park. Signage could be better. Lovely staff.

Relatively small farm park, probably better for young children up to 6ish yrs. Home to Welsh guards museum and a Second World War trenches set up.

The indoor areas; bouncy castle (unsupervised), basic baby soft play areas, ride on tractors all around cafe tables.

In the sheep barn; soft play with brick building area, sand and water play, archaeological dig, slides. Other wee entertainment bits like an Alice in wonderland theme walk through scenes…bit creepy imo but there for Easter as far as I could tell.

Rabbits, Guinea pigs, tortoises, sheep, goats, pigs. Music room and a sort of science room which our toddler didn’t engage with much - better for the older children with those interests.

Tractor trailer ride, barrel train all running v smoothly!

Outside assault course, play park, diggers x2 (£1), electric tractors (£1), shed/small house play bits, space hopper field, Iron Age roundhouse, pig racing, staff put on a fun rabbit (fancy dress) race for entertainment.

We didn’t use the cafe much but we did get a hot chocolate, cake and ice creams - service was ok. Didn’t really want to stay or go back for that tbh.

The staff with the tractor rides and the animals were lovely, couldn’t have been happier to help and chat - working hard!

Found the layout a bit confusing and all seemed a bit ‘add on’, we were given a map on arrival which helped to a degree but in reality we went where we could around other people rather than studying the map. You’re sent through the museum to get in which is a long hallway in effect into the small animal handling area - an old cow shed with multiple doors off to various things but you couldn’t really choose (it wasn’t a v busy afternoon as it was wet) and just had to go where you could with a buggy.

Happy with pricing for one adult, concession and 2 x under 2. Might get pricey with older kids.

Seemed like a good shop at reception but you have to walk through it to get out...

A really excellent day out with enough variety to entertain children of many ages in all weathers. I visited recently (on a cold, grey day) with my children aged 5 and 2 and they both had a great day meeting & feeding the animals, playing in the soft plays, water play, and outdoor playgrounds. We stayed nearly 5 hours and still felt there was more to see when we had to leave, so look forward to returning again on a sunny day!

There's a good sense of enthusiasm and friendliness from the staff and small but hugely useful details like announcing where/when the next activities are happening when leaving the previous one. Most importantly we felt there was no sense of greed about the place, unlike so many similar family attractions; everything is reasonably priced and the few activities which require an extra fee are, again, reasonable and feel justified in charging a small premium. I was inclined to spend more in the cafe and gift shop, having not felt fleeced on entry fees etc.

There were one or two things out of order (diggers and one of the science exhibits) which I hope will get resolved in time, but nothing to detract from a really...

Great place to spend 4 or 5 hours with the smaller kids (2-12) wheelchair accessibility good, but some rough areas, only to be expected from a working rural environment. Saw a senior citizen take a tumble off their small mobility scooter, so would only recommend sturdy power wheelchair or class 3 scooter! The outdoor playing area is all grass, so only accessibile if preceding weather has been dry. One quirk of design, the WW1 exhibit. No disabled access to get into the barn, but there is a disabled access ramp on the other side to get out to the WW1 trench experience! Pretty pointless without a ramp into the building too! Other than that, good day out for the family, fed and watered ourselves at the on site cafe, nothing extravagent, but did the job, much tastier than a McD's, and at £30 for 4 of us, (kids had adult meals as well), cheaper than McD's too. We will be back.

This is a great family day out for people with young children. It has a little bit of everything. Travel back in time to our victorian era, see how they lived. Then move through to imagery play with shops set up for the children to play and interat. Then we move into pets corner were the children and adults get to cuddle the rabbits and guinea pigs. Maybe feed a lamb and goats. There are plenty of indoor play areas for the children to burn off all that energy with water and sand play available too. My little boy loves it all and tends to finish off with a tractor ride. The only problem I have is my littleone is so busy being a child here with so much do to it's hard to get him to stop and eat. Cafe also has hot and cold food but ques can be very long. I would definitely recommend for a day one with children under 10.
