My first time visiting here. I must say I was quite underwhelmed. Not much to look at and only a small amount of information on the site. There are features not in keeping with the age of the building including solar panels, plastic guttering and fresh brickwork. What was there was fairly interesting but I would like to have known more about the place. Maybe during an open day this would be the case?

Although it has more or less been demolished over the centuries it does have a very interesting history. Even the dogs enjoyed themselves there while we read about its past on a notice board. Looking forward to there being another open day in the not too distant future.

Not well signed to get here, & I'm guessing the locals don't like visitors by the amount of no unauthorised entry & missing footpath signs. Probably not worth a special trip for, but if you are nearby anyway then find a path through from the north side.

Great place for anyone who loves Tudor history, this was the place where Henry the 7th spend time as a child. Not much left of the building today but the information boards do a good job of educating visitors. They also have fun open days here too, well worth a visit...
