We can no longer go to the woods because twice now we have encountered 2 men taking a pack of dogs off their leads and totally uncontrolled and they have attacked our dogs. The first time they knocked my wife over and she injured her knees on on the coarse gravel one this part of the path. The second time we saw them about 50 yards away and as soon as they noticed our dogs they came running towards us and the two men made no attempt to call them back. The pack consists of 3 retrievers, a border collie, a spaniel and a French bulldog. One of the retrievers and the French bulldog attacked our 2 miniature dachshunds. The younger man just walked straight past us, ignoring what was happening while the older man, possibly his father just talked to us as though nothing had happened. So if you ever take your dogs for a walk there and see an Audi A4 off road estate and possibly a Volkswagen Tiguan go elsewhere for your walk. Unfortunately they had left by the time we got back to our car so we couldn't get their...

The area south of Beverley disected by Long Lane a causeway which runs from Beverley Minster to Woodmansey has long been known as Beverley Parks. There is an interesting new orchard planted in the millennium by children from local schools. The trees are all varieties traditionally grown in The East Riding. Planted around this site at the sametime were various deciduous trees of local establishment. Originally a deer park in medieval times a, now run down, farm on the site at one time had a long brick built archadian deer shelter. At present this area is still rural farm land despite its close proximinity to Beverley town centre but, sadly, it is about to change dramatically, within a decade, as planning permission has been granted to build...

Lovely (FREE) little nature walk with chalky/gravel path throughout with picnic benches/seating areas distributed around the grounds.

The circular takes approximately 15/20minutes and is suitable for children/pushchairs, the elderly, wheelchair users and dogs.

If you're lucky you'll spot rabbits/deer/foxes or hear the bees buzzing around. Or try one of the many varieties of apples growing in the orchard.

There's a bin at the entrance gate so no excuse for leaving litter/dog poop.

Ample parking on a gravel, watch out for the pot holes though! Also, keep a close eye on young children/dogs as the working farm next door occasionally has tractors/heavy...

A lovely area to walk, I gave 4 stars as the signpost to the main parking area was very unclear. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll (about an hour) with friends, finishing at the nearby Beverley Garden Centre for lunch and Loo's. Accessibility - fairly level grass and country paths. I would suggest wheelchair users download the site map and follow the path towards the Orchard. No toilets. Car Parking (free) - on grassed area, limited parking in a narrow lane at the 2nd entrance. Toilets - none Yorkshire Honey 🍯 have a dedicated (with warning signs) area for their hives and teach bee keeping.

Beverly Parks is a 49-acre local nature reserve with an orchard with a large variety of apples and pears, including rare local specimens. The site dates back to a deer park mentioned in the doomsday book. There are fenced-in circular pathways that go around the edge of the site. A lot of trees have been planted in the grazing pastures, including sweet chestnut, lime, oak, and ash. The area is very popular with dog walkers and hikers. There is good signage with maps at the entrance and a small car park. There are a few benches and picnic tables. The countryside access team has done a fantastic job.

Such a beautiful hidden walk with a variety of things to do and plenty to forage or even if you want to learn to forage. During summer and autumn you will find a choice of apple's, cherries, plums, hawthorn, pears and walnuts. There is also alot of mushrooms to look for but always be careful when checking. The walk it's self in the tree's has a few different paths but during autumn and winter the paths are very covered in parts.
