This is a wonderful place for a peaceful stay or a retreat. The rooms are very well appointed and the hospitality excellent. Meals are simple but wholesome and they try to cater for preferences or allergies. We have stayed as a couple annually (2 nights) for the past 12 years apart from 2020. The monks attend their prayer timetable each day and visitors are welcome to attend but don't participate other than as observers. We have always been part of a Teams of Our Lady retreat and are accompanied by a Retreat Leader who provides talks and we arrange our own prayers, meditation and discussion. Good area for walking in or around the grounds. Very good conference room with PC projector and room for up to 20 people but limited to 12 due to COVID-19. There is a lovely church at the side of the grounds which is ideal for a small Mass. The Abbey Church is open for quiet prayer too and has a small gift shop.

A beautiful complex of remarkable buildings, 19th and 20thc, and a wonderful warm welcome from a Benedictine community. Set in a glorious stretch of Berkshire countryside, amazing so near London, beautiful rolling woods and fields. Very special.

Stunning location, lots of Green Space and Nature. They make lots of local produce from their farming area. Honey, Jams, eggs, breads. The Cooking is divine, lovely home cooked nourishing foods, catering for vegans and gluten free like myself. The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean, very tastefully furnished. Such a beautiful stunning building. I will definitely go again. There was about 35 of us and...

Absolutely loved it! I was sent here along with a colleague by our bishop. It was a great privilege to join the monks for Mass and some of the Daily Office. Food is spectacular, hospitality is brilliant, the church and gardens have a beautifully peaceful atmosphere and I've had two of the best nights' sleep in years in the very comfortable guesthouse. Would definitely go again, hopefully for...
